What it is about
Our Sticky Love (이런 엿 같은 사랑) is a Netflix romantic comedy whose twelve episodes were all released at once on 7 August 2026. When Netflix confirmed the production on 14 May 2025, it introduced Jang Tae-ha as a promising youth boxer who became a gangster and has since left the organisation to live as a boxing-gym coach.
Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor in the anti-corruption division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, is injured while pursuing a criminal organisation and wakes with no memory in a country hospital in Gujin-gun’s taffy village, a place of traditional taffy workshops. According to Star News, her name before she lost her memory was Go Ji-won. Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), on the last job he has taken so that he can leave the organisation, meets her — his first love — and tells her he is her boyfriend. Heo Sung-tae plays the gang boss Baek Sang-gil.
Kim Jang-han (Do You Like Brahms?, My Demon) directs, from a script by Mo Ji-hye (You Raise Me Up); it is their first series together in four years. Netflix rates it 15+.
What was said at the production conference
At the production conference on 5 August 2026, at the Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the director Kim Jang-han said of the title that “the expression ‘엿같다’ itself was the hook”. Because Eun-sae takes time to accept Tae-ha, he said, their first meeting is a situation that is literally ‘엿 같은’ — the word that means both the sticky sweet and a swear (Star News). Ha Young, in her first romantic comedy, said the script was so gripping that she “read it all in one sitting”, and described the two as “the love story of an anxious girlfriend and a secure boyfriend”. Kim also said, “Because our platform is Netflix, I was glad there was no limit on pace” (TV Report).
Where the taffy village was filmed
The taffy village in the series is fictional; it was filmed at Geumdangsil Village in Yongmun-myeon, Yecheon County, North Gyeongsang Province. Daegu Shinmun reported on 22 September 2026 that the house that plays Jang Tae-ha’s home is the village’s ‘Soso Geumdang’.
Number one in its second week
After entering Netflix’s non-English TV list at fifth with 3.2 million views in its first week, 3 to 9 August, the series went to number one in its second, 10 to 16 August, with 7.5 million views and 88 million hours viewed. Netflix’s country figures put it in the top 10 in 68 countries that week and at number one in 26, including South Korea, Brazil, Indonesia and Singapore. It followed with 3.7 million (second), 2.2 million (fourth) and 1.5 million (seventh), five weeks on the list in all. By Netflix’s weekly figures the five weeks total 18.1 million views.
Where to watch
Our Sticky Love streams worldwide on Netflix. The official trailer with English subtitles is on the Netflix K-Content YouTube channel, and the Netflix Korea channel released a special music video, ‘그대 내게 다시’ (Geudae Naege Dasi), sung by Jung Hae-in.
