- The album introduction presents this first digital single as a record of summer friendship and the feelings of the moment. It describes the title track 'DANCING ALONE' as a dance song woven from city pop and retro synth-pop, and says it reads 'dancing alone' not as loneliness but as a story about the look of recognition between friends and the freedom of the moment. The b-side 'Strawberry Cheesegame', the same text says, traces the mixed jealousy and affection between friends.
