Wooyoung (우영) is a member of ATEEZ, who debuted under KQ Entertainment in October 2018. He helped write 'Sagittarius', the solo song Hongjoong gave him, and in August 2026 became STUDIO TOMBOY's first global ambassador.
Wooyoung (우영) is a member of ATEEZ. He debuted with the group under KQ Entertainment on 24 October 2018, and Vogue Korea wrote that he had taken part in a survival show before his debut. In a May 2024 Vogue Korea interview with San, Wooyoung said that ‘WORK’ was a style ATEEZ had never tried before, and that they learned the choreography from an overseas choreographer.
On the night of 21 February 2025 the video for his solo song ‘Sagittarius’ went up on ATEEZ’s official YouTube channel. According to Star News, Hongjoong wrote and composed it as a gift for Wooyoung, who also took part in the lyrics. On 10 June that year he featured on ‘underpressure!’ by the American R&B singer Gallant (Rated R&B). On 1 December he and Yeosang released a cover of BTS’s ‘Friends’.
In the interview for Arena Homme+’s June 2025 digital cover, Wooyoung said he felt a lot of responsibility as the tours grew. He recalled: “Fans abroad sang the Korean lyrics back more clearly than I do. That moment was especially moving.” Asked at the GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4 press conference in February 2026 how the eight keep going together, he answered, as Soompi quoted him: “The key is conversation. We chat for several hours backstage and talk about our future direction a lot.”
On 9 March 2026 he threw the first pitch at the Australia game, the last of the first round of the 2026 World Baseball Classic, at Tokyo Dome (Ilgan Sports). According to Star News, his first ever first pitch was in 2024, at the Lotte Giants’ game against the Samsung Lions at Sajik Baseball Stadium. On 27 August 2026 Shinsegae Tomboy announced that it had named Wooyoung the first global ambassador of STUDIO TOMBOY, and the role’s first campaign, autumn/winter 2026’s ‘SILENT NOISE’, was released on 31 August (Ilgan Sports).
