Bloodhounds Season 2

What it is about

Bloodhounds Season 2 is an action series Netflix released on 3 April 2026, three years after the first season. The Korea Herald and Hankook Ilbo both name Kim Joo-hwan as director, with Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi and Jung Ji-hoon playing Gun-woo, Woo-jin and Baek-jeong. Netflix’s own newsroom credits Kim Joo-hwan with both the writing and the direction, Studio N as producer, Ghost Studio and Seven O Six as co-producers, and Jeong Chan’s Naver Webtoon series Bloodhounds as the source.

The two boxers who dismantled a loan shark ring now face a global underground boxing league run on money and violence. At the press conference Kim Joo-hwan said the season “follows the two protagonists as they encounter a new antagonist and engage in an even more intense, ferocious battle.”

Why it broke out

Netflix’s own weekly global top 10 carried the second season for five weeks in the non-English television category. Joynews24 reported on 15 April that the series drew 7.4 million views between 5 and 12 April, took first place in that category and entered the top 10 in 80 countries.

Across the five weeks the ranks were second, first, third, sixth and ninth, on 5.0, 7.4, 3.7, 2.2 and 1.5 million views: 19.8 million in total.

The first season came back with it. The same Joynews24 report placed season one third that week on 3.0 million views. Netflix’s weekly data shows the first season charting for three weeks in April 2026 at eighth, third and seventh, which took it to eight weeks in the category across 2023 and 2026.
