DO IT

The record

DO IT is a mini album Stray Kids released on 21 November 2025 with five tracks, led by two title tracks, ‘Do It’ and ‘신선놀음 (DIVINE)’. JYP Entertainment issued it as the first record of a new series, SKZ IT TAPE. It came three months after the group’s fourth full album, KARMA, released that August.

JYP Entertainment’s album introduction on Bugs describes SKZ IT TAPE as albums that set out the hottest, surest mood Stray Kids want to show right now, catching that moment in the words “This is it!”. The same text says this record carries the encouragement “act boldly now, with conviction”, and the story of the group taking that as a creed to enjoy today and make a new “IT”. The group’s own production team, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin and Han), worked on every track once again.

Among the tracks

By the members’ own notes in the album introduction, the opening ‘Do It’ is a reggaeton-based pop song that holds strong energy within a relaxed, cool mood. The members wrote that they wanted to send the message “let’s not hesitate, trust our instincts in this moment and go for it!”. JBACH joined 3RACHA on the lyrics, Marc Sibley and Nathan Cunningham joined them on the music, and Space Primates arranged it.

The second title track is boom-bap hip-hop. Its title is a Korean idiom for carefree leisure, literally the play of immortals, and the members named the contrast between a melodic topline and forceful chants as the song’s mark. It carries the pleasure of stepping outside the world’s frame and enjoying everything at leisure, they wrote. 3RACHA composed it with VERSACHOI, and VERSACHOI and Bang Chan arranged it.

The other three songs each take a different course. ‘Holiday’ turns from a quiet opening into a two-step rhythm, wishing everyone worn out by busy days a moment’s rest. ‘Photobook’ is a rock ballad that starts on the piano and builds into a band sound. The members describe it as a promise of forever to their fans, made while going back over memories photo by photo; Nickko Young composed it with 3RACHA and arranged and played it. The closing ‘Do It (Festival Version)’ re-arranges the title track, with 2Spade, into a more powerful sound.

Numbers

Circle Chart counted the record number one on its album chart for its release week, week 47 of 2025 (16 to 22 November). The title track ‘Do It’ was 46th on the digital chart the following week. In the United States the record went to number one on both the Billboard 200 and Billboard’s World Albums on the chart dated 6 December 2025. That day ‘Do It’ was 68th on the Billboard Hot 100, 13th on the Global 200 and eighth on the Global Excl. U.S. It was 35th on the UK Official Singles Chart dated 4 December 2025. The second title track did not appear on these charts.

The next year, on the album page for THIS & THAT, JYP Entertainment wrote that eight Stray Kids records in a row, from the 2022 mini album ODDINARY to this one, had entered the Billboard 200 at number one.

After it

The mini album THIS & THAT followed in August the next year. How it became the group’s ninth number one on the Billboard 200 is set out in the story on that record.
