Who are Stray Kids?

Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈) are an eight-member boy group under JYP Entertainment made up of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N, in the order the group’s official profile lists them. That profile gives the group’s founding date as 25 March 2018. Newsis reported on 18 July 2024 that all eight members had completed their contract renewal with JYP Entertainment.

According to Billboard, all nine of the albums the group has placed on the Billboard 200 debuted at number one, from ODDINARY in 2022 to THIS & THAT on the chart dated 22 August 2026 — a total that ties the Rolling Stones for second place among groups with the most number one albums, behind the Beatles’ 19. In Japan the group released a Japanese version of ‘TOP’ as its first single on 3 June 2020, and according to Soompi the song opened at number one on Oricon’s daily singles chart.

The stages have grown too. Rolling Stone UK reported that on 14 July 2024 Stray Kids headlined the final day of BST Hyde Park in London in front of 65,000 people, and wrote that they were the first K-pop male group to headline the festival. The fourth full-length album KARMA, released in August 2025, won Album of the Year at the MAMA Awards at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on 29 November that year (TenAsia — the group’s first MAMA grand prize), and the grand prize in the album category at the 40th Golden Disc Awards at the Taipei Dome on 10 January 2026 (Newsis).

3RACHA — the production team inside the group

Bang Chan, Changbin and Han form a production team inside the group, 3RACHA. Soompi wrote on 29 June 2018 that the three came together as trainees before their debut, with Bang Chan at the centre, and that their goal was to make their own music. According to the same outlet, they released their first mixtape track on 18 January 2017 and, on the same date a year later, their first anniversary, released a new track, ‘Start Line’. The Korea Herald reported on 3 February 2023 that the three had become full members of the Korea Music Copyright Association, and wrote that since the debut the team had written practically all of Stray Kids’ songs.

According to the Korea Times, 3RACHA wrote and produced all 11 tracks on KARMA and all eight on THIS & THAT, the tenth mini album, released on 7 August 2026. The team has taken work from outside as well. The Korea Herald reported on 23 July 2024 that ‘Slash’, from the soundtrack of the film Deadpool & Wolverine, was a joint work by 3RACHA and the composer Versachoi, and that with it Stray Kids became the first K-pop group to contribute a song to Marvel’s Deadpool series. The three received the Best Creator award at the Asia Artist Awards at the Philippine Arena on 14 December 2023 (Edaily). Spotify announced through its newsroom on 3 August 2026 that JYP Entertainment’s new podcast opens with 3RACHA Session, a six-part series the three of them host.

To hear the eight members’ voices one at a time, there is the digital album SKZ-REPLAY, released on 21 December 2022. SPOTV News reported that it carries one new solo song per member, each written and composed with that member’s own hand in it — eight songs in all.
