The song

‘RUN IT’ is a single Stray Kids released on 24 June 2026. It was carried again as the opening track of the mini album THIS & THAT on 7 August, and the world tour the group began that year takes its name from the song.

The album introduction on Bugs describes the track as a work that concentrates the group’s energy as it widens into a larger world, and says Bang Chan, Changbin and Han of the in-house production team 3RACHA worked on it. The same text gives its features as a strong forward drive and grandeur, built on brass and marching drums with a world-beat rhythm added, and says the lyrics carry the group’s path from a small room in Seoul to stages around the world. The music video, it says, sets collision and circulation against each other in black and white.

Reviews

IZM’s Kim Ho-hyun reviewed the single a fortnight after release. He wrote that “the group’s production unit 3RACHA took the wheel of the arrangement again this time”, and that “the intro, with brass at its centre, calls up the vigorous stride of a marching band, and the construction, which draws catharsis in a straight line, brushes past the cheers the audience of a concert would add in that moment”. He called it “a song whose structure gains more conviction when you imagine it played in a venue than when you simply sit and listen to the recording”.

Billboard’s Jeff Benjamin gave the track its own place in his review of the record that carries it. He wrote that “Stray Kids know exactly how to grab listeners from the opening track, and they’ve been perfecting the practice for years”, listing the openers of the albums before it. He wrote that “‘RUN IT’ joins that lineage of anthemic SKZ album openers with what may be the most sweeping of them all: the brass arrangement sound built for stadiums joined by marching drums, and the group’s grandest proclamation to date”.

Where the song sits

What both reviews mark is that the song is built for a stage. Where Kim wrote that its structure gains conviction once a venue is imagined, Benjamin pointed at the same thing with a brass arrangement made for stadiums. Benjamin noted that Lee Know sings the first declaration and I.N the line that follows, and quoted both.

Benjamin also set out where the song sits inside the record. He wrote that “most of THIS & THAT feels more personal with songs about love, breakups and memories, but this one is Stray Kids’ story, told by Stray Kids — no wonder they named their entire world tour after it”.

Numbers

The Korea Herald reported that the world tour named after the song opened in Seoul in July 2026 with five sold-out concerts, with dates in North America and Europe planned across that year and the next. The same title reported that THIS & THAT, which the song opens, entered the Billboard 200 at number one, the group’s ninth consecutive chart-topper.
