The song

‘뛰어 (JUMP)’ is a digital single released on 11 July 2025 — the group’s first release together in close to three years. It arrived six days after the four members performed it live on the opening night of the DEADLINE world tour at Goyang Stadium, where Soompi reported an audience of more than 78,000 across the two nights.

The song was later included on DEADLINE, the mini album released on 27 February 2026, as a pre-released track. The official music video is on the group’s own YouTube channel.

Reviews

Idology (아이돌로지), a Korean webzine on idol pop whose writers sign their own notes, placed the song in its songs-of-2025 selection on 30 December 2025. The page states in its own words that it assigns no ranking, and each entry carries a byline; Erin wrote this one.

Erin set the song against the group’s earlier grammar. “Where BLACKPINK previously concentrated on stamping a charisma through explosive structures, ‘뛰어’ sheds that weight and focuses on play itself,” the entry says, before setting out the contrast between the production and the voices: “The low, offhand murmur of ‘뛰어’, tossed out over a beat that drives without pause and a keen-edged techno sound, makes a dramatic contrast, and within it the group and the audience breathe together in one mass, so that a dance floor opens where a raw energy pulses.” The entry closes by calling the song one that “lays out an intuitive space anyone can swim freely in”, and “the most relaxed and polished kind of revel that only the BLACKPINK of now could propose”.

The Singles Jukebox, where a panel of British and American music writers each file a note of their own on one single, covered the song on 5 August 2025. Alfred Soto wrote: “Often threatening to turn into power pop and rightfully so, ‘Jump’ zigzags through tempo changes and one-word exhortations with the spritz I expect from Blackpink.”

Joshua Lu, on the same page, took up where the sound sits. “It’s remarkable how Blackpink managed to find a sound with no overlap with any of the members’ solo work, or with any of the group’s previous material either,” he wrote. “The techno, Eurotrance beat of ‘Jump’ is a surprisingly apt fit for the group, evoking the kookiest of second-gen K-pop while still preserving their current edge.”

Numbers

Circle Chart placed the song at number 41 on its Digital Chart for week 28 of 2025 (6 to 12 July), the week of release. It was at number three the following week, week 29 (13 to 19 July), the first full week it was out.
