Who are BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) is a four-piece group under YG Entertainment — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa — that debuted on 8 August 2016 with the single album SQUARE ONE and its two title tracks, “Whistle” and “Boombayah”. The Korea Times, writing on the tenth anniversary of that release, described the group as the label’s first girl group since 2NE1. The fandom is called BLINK.
The decade since has been built on records that are self-contained facts rather than rankings: the first K-pop girl group to top the Billboard 200, with BORN PINK in September 2022; the first K-pop headliner at Coachella, in April 2023; and in February 2026 the first artist channel on YouTube to pass 100 million subscribers.
Where to start
The third mini album, DEADLINE, was released on 27 February 2026 with five tracks led by “GO”, and Star News reported it as the group’s first full-group record in three years and five months. The DEADLINE world tour ran the other way around: it opened at Goyang Stadium in July 2025, months before the album it was named for, and closed at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on 26 January 2026 after 16 cities.
Official music videos and performance clips are on the group’s own YouTube channel and on YG Entertainment’s. K-Culture Radar links to official uploads rather than re-hosting them, so the videos are best watched there.
