The record

SWEAT is the third single album of KISS OF LIFE, released on 4 August 2026 with the title track ‘SWEAT’ and ‘WHAT!’. It follows the second single album Who is she of four months earlier, and was made for the summer. S2 Entertainment’s album introduction on Bugs says the single is about an attitude that need not prove one’s effort or one’s unease to anybody else, and that the group work out in their own way a confidence that is felt without being staged and a presence that shows without being forced. The same text says the video, the images and the tone were all built around a restrained sense, and that the mood running through the release is one of heat held inside and allowed to spread rather than pushed outward.

Reviews

Yemi, writing for Idology (아이돌로지), took the release in the short pieces of Weekly for the first week of August 2026, published on the 10th. He called it “KISS OF LIFE’s own summer, version two — cool on the audio and hot on the stage”, and wrote: “You could see that expressing that heat more naturally is where they have moved forward.”

Among the tracks

The album introduction describes the title track ‘SWEAT’ as an Afro-house track built on electronic pop joined to Latin rhythm, and reads its keyword, sweat, past the surface meaning as the time and the traces of shaping oneself. The same text calls the B-side ‘WHAT!’ a house song marked by a direct structure and a plucked sound, and says that where the title track works the heat inside out through a restrained mood, this one is closer to energy let out towards the world. The two songs have different writing teams: the introduction credits the title track’s composition to Tyler Bardzilowski with Ayushy and Chanti of THE HUB, and the B-side’s to Jordan Shaw, Shorelle and Lewis Jankel.

Numbers
