Who is Soobin

Soobin (수빈) is the leader of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, the five-member group that debuted on 4 March 2019. The group’s Japan official site gives his birth date as 5 December 2000 and introduces the team as five members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai. Sports Kyunghyang introduced him as the leader in its report on the media showcase for the eighth mini album, held on 13 April 2026.

At that showcase he looked back on August 2025, when all five members renewed with BIGHIT MUSIC. “People around us said the members would be harder to line up than the company, but it went quickly for us,” Soobin said, adding that he later heard how rare it is to renew that fast. “Talking about the renewal made the members feel more precious to me. I want to thank every one of them.”

His name is on the album work too. Star News, reporting the track list of the eighth mini album 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns on 5 April 2026, wrote that Soobin is credited as a lyricist on the closing track ‘다음의 다음’. The fourth album The Star Chapter: TOGETHER, released on 21 July 2025, carried one solo song for each member, and Soobin’s is the easy-listening pop track ‘Sunday Driver’. Of the music video, posted to the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel at midnight on 31 July, he said through the agency: “The song is bright and sweet and the video is lovely too. It put me in a good mood just filming it.”

There is a song from outside the group as well. According to Star News, ‘I Love You I Love You too’, the OST for the SBS drama 오늘도 매진했습니다 (Oneuldo Maejin-haetseumnida) that Soobin sang with Taehyun, was released on 29 April 2026 and reached number ten on Billboard Japan’s download songs chart published on 6 May.
