Beomgyu is a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, the five-member BIGHIT MUSIC group that debuted on 4 March 2019. He wrote and composed his first solo mixtape, 'Panic', in March 2025, and the fourth album carries 'Take My Half', a solo track he helped produce.
Beomgyu (범규) is a member of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, the five-member group that debuted on 4 March 2019. The group’s Japan official site gives his birth date as 13 March 2001 and introduces the team as five members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.
He writes his own songs. According to Nocut News, Beomgyu released his first solo mixtape, ‘Panic’, at 6 p.m. on 27 March 2025, and on this rock-band-sounding track he took part in the writing, the composing and the making of the music video. The singer-songwriter 허회경 (Heo Hoy Kyung) shared the lyric credit. In a written Q&A passed on by the agency he said: “I’m glad to be putting out a song that reflects my own thoughts and taste from the very first step. When I heard the finished music for the first time it felt strange, and it moved me.” On the choice of genre he said, “I’ve always liked band music, but I also thought it was the genre that could express my musical colour best,” and he explained that he asked Heo Hoy Kyung to write with him because her songs had comforted him through a hard time.
His hand is on the group’s records as well. The fourth album The Star Chapter: TOGETHER, released on 21 July 2025, carried one solo song for each member, and Beomgyu’s is ‘Take My Half’, an emotional rock ballad he helped produce. Sports Kyunghyang reported that when its music video went up on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on 3 August, the set of five solo music videos was complete. Beomgyu said through the agency: “It’s a song built on the things I usually think about, and I feel that sensibility carried over into the video.”
At the media showcase for the eighth mini album on 13 April 2026 he described where the record came from. “Whatever you do, doing it steadily for eight years brings its own questions,” he said, adding that the group found those questions were not theirs alone: “We made this album by adding our own story to questions anyone can have.”
