Yangyang is a member of WayV (웨이션브이), the LABEL V group that debuted on 17 January 2019. The Hong Kong outlet HK01, in a piece of 17 July 2018, gave his birthday as 10 October 2000, and the Taiwanese outlet ETtoday reported on 4 June 2026 that he was born and raised in New Taipei City.
