- The album introduction says this debut EP raises a question about the 'good music' NewJeans pursue, and describes it as a record that does not follow the set formulas of K-pop and is built on pop without holding to any one style. The same text says it aims for easy-listening pop that can be enjoyed anywhere, keeps the members' own voices through unexaggerated sound engineering, and gives each of its four songs a different story that together draw a story of 'us' beyond any one person's. It explains that three title tracks were put forward to deliver the message in full, quotes chief producer Min Hee-jin, 'popular music is a culture that sits right up against everyday life, so it is like the clothes you wear every day', and closes on the hope that the group becomes 'New Jeans' that never wear thin however often they are worn, like jeans.
