- Concept
- The album introduction presents this first single album as NewJeans, facing their first winter, talking about relationships once again against a slightly strange distance and an unfamiliar setting. The same text says the story of 'us' told on the first EP, about relationships and attraction between people, continues in a changed form, and that 'we' grow closer and grow together when, past the strangeness, things rest on empathy, hospitality and reciprocity. It describes the title track 'OMG' as a hip-hop R&B song built on hip-hop drum sources and percussion that moves between UK garage and trap rhythms, and 'Ditto' as a reinterpretation of Baltimore club in the group's own sensibility.
