From child model to first member

Newsis reported that on 22 August 2024 THEBLACKLABEL introduced Ella as the first member of MEOVV through its official social media channels. The same article stated that Ella was born in the US and had worked as a kids’ model and child actor from a young age. Singlelist wrote the same day that Ella had long been active as a THEBLACKLABEL artist, as a child actor and model.

Ella also remembers the day she froze with nerves before her first evaluation as a trainee. In a W Korea interview published on 24 April 2026, she said that Narin, whom she was not yet close to, came over and told her, “You’ll do well. Don’t be nervous. You’re already doing well,” and that those few words gave her a lot of strength.

Confidence grown on ‘BURNING UP’

In the same interview Ella called ‘BURNING UP’ “a song I dug into quite persistently from the moment we started preparing it”. She practised far more than usual, and while recording she hoped people would draw energy from the song while working out. “I also feel I grew especially during the ‘Burning Up’ promotions. I even learned the choreography faster than usual.”

On the second mini album, BITE NOW, Ella’s name is among the lyricists of the title track ‘DDI RO RI’ and of ‘Revenge’ (THEBLACKLABEL’s album introduction). Asked about her role within the group, she answered that when the members get serious during a shoot or practice, she plays “the role of lifting the mood”.

Miu Miu and M·A·C

Star News reported on 1 May 2025 that Miu Miu had announced on 30 April, local time, that it had chosen Ella as a new ambassador. The same article wrote that Ella had attended the Miu Miu fashion week schedule in Paris, France, in March of that year.

Cosmorning reported on 15 December 2025 that M·A·C had chosen Ella as a global brand model. The first campaign is the NEW Powder Kiss collection, and Ella said, “M·A·C was the first brand I used on stage, and it was a brand I always kept close as I worked my way towards a style of my own.”
