RESCENE's Five Members Enter Nexon's Sudden Attack — From the June Showcase to the 30 July Release

What happened

Nexon released new RESCENE characters in the online FPS Sudden Attack on 30 July 2026. According to the press release from NEXON Games, the characters are the five members — Woni, Minami, Liv, May and Zena — and they are obtained from the Multi Count item inside the game. Three outlets carried the same account that day: ZDNet Korea, Digital Daily and Dailian.

Nexon announced a launch event alongside them. According to the press release, a player who accumulates 300 days or more of the characters in Multi Count by 3 September receives a ‘RESCENE permanent-character selection voucher’, and for every further 300 days accumulated after that, the player chooses between another selection voucher and a ‘new Prime character’. A further 600 days brings an ‘[S] RESCENE selection voucher’, which chooses between ‘Supreme RESCENE’ and ‘Gyaru Supreme RESCENE’. The 300 days are not days logged in or days played: they are accumulated days of holding the character. Digital Daily and Dailian both put the condition as accumulating 300 days or more of the character’s holding period.

On one point the reports differ. ZDNet Korea described the 600-day reward only as a Supreme-grade character and did not separate the two options. NEXON Games’ press release, Digital Daily and Dailian all name ‘Supreme RESCENE’ and ‘Gyaru Supreme RESCENE’ side by side, so this article follows Nexon’s own announcement. Nexon also said that signed merchandise goes by draw to players who obtain the selection voucher and to those who collect all five permanent character sets.

Why is it trending?

The release had been previewed a little over a month earlier. According to Kyunghyang Games, Nexon held the Sudden Attack director live showcase at the DN Colosseum in Jamsil, Seoul, on 27 June, and set out its 2026 Season 3 update plans and the content marking the game’s 21st anniversary of service. The director Kim Tae-hyun presented it, and the new season is called ‘Paradox’. According to the same report, the final of the 2026 Sudden Attack Championship Season 1 followed at the same venue after the showcase, and RESCENE took the MVP presentation and a celebratory performance as the closing item of Season 1.

The preview came from that stage. NEXON Games’ press release wrote that RESCENE had visited the showcase in June, given a celebratory performance and signalled its arrival as characters in the game, and Dailian reported the same.

Three RESCENE videos went up on Sudden Attack’s official YouTube channel on the day of the release. Their titles are ‘서든 야호~! 내랑 같이 서든 할 거제~? l 리센느 l 서든어택’, ‘아직도 리센느 캐릭터가 없는 서든러가 있다고?!’ and ‘리센느 캐릭터 감정표현 모음집’. The same channel posted ‘리센느와 함께하는 21주년 이벤트 특강! l 1교시 l 서든어택’ on 6 August and ‘원이쌤이 알려주는 서든 21주년! l 2교시 l 서든어택’ on 20 August. According to Kyunghyang Games, Nexon said at the June showcase that a large event marking 21 years of service would run in August.
