Belle

Who is Belle?

Belle (벨) is the main vocalist of KISS OF LIFE. Before she stood on stage, she wrote songs. In remarks MK Sports reported on 12 November 2025, she said she had worked as a composer for about two years before debut, also taking on the roles of production staff and director.

Credits before debut

Star News wrote on 6 August 2023 that she was credited on songs including Kid Milli and DRESS’s ‘Kitty’, ‘Softly’ and ‘Charging’ from (G)I-DLE member Miyeon’s solo album, and LE SSERAFIM’s ‘UNFORGIVEN’. Of ‘UNFORGIVEN’ she explained: “I had written the whole song, and part of its topline was chosen, which is how my name got into the credits.” She also set out how she writes for others: rather than working to the singer’s image, she tends “to melt my own colour into it, so that it stands out as fresh when the singer takes it on”.

Inside the group’s songs

SBS News reported on 18 July 2023 that she took part in writing the lyrics and music of the debut song ‘Shhh’ and of her solo track ‘Countdown’. ‘Says It’, on the second mini album Born to be XX, is her own song about the feelings of a first love. In October 2024 she also has a composing credit on ‘Get Loud’, the title track of the third mini album Lose Yourself. At the showcase she said it came out of a song session: “I take part in song sessions a lot, and I often work on songs when I have time.”

Dance came later. In a Dong-A.com interview in November 2023 she said she first learned to dance after joining S2 Entertainment, while preparing for KISS OF LIFE. In the same interview she said that since debut other artists had sent her many requests for guide vocals, choruses and ideas. JoyNews24 wrote a year later that she notes down melodies and lyrics in the car and just before she falls asleep.

Songs sung outside the group

On 19 June 2024 she sang ‘See the Light’, an OST for the JTBC drama My Sweet Mobster. She featured on ‘Whistle’ from NCT member Doyoung’s single released on 9 December 2025, and on 11 February 2026 she sang ‘I Rise’, the first OST for the Naver webtoon The Remarried Empress. The Japanese official site adds features on DRESS’s ‘Twilight’ and ‘Everything bout you’. In November 2025 she served as a judge on the audition programme Veiled Musician, saying she hoped the musical world and standards she had built on the way to becoming an idol would help her judge.
