Who is Haneul?

Haneul (하늘) sings lead vocals in KISS OF LIFE, the part the member page on the label’s Japanese site gives her. Her trainee years began at S2 Entertainment itself. In an August 2023 interview with CBS NoCut News, Belle said the company was the first either of them had trained at, and that both debuted after a little over a year of training.

‘Play Love Games’

Her solo track ‘Play Love Games’, from the debut mini album KISS OF LIFE, came out first as a music video on the official channel at midnight KST on 22 June 2023. It was composed by an overseas team including Skylar Mones, with lyrics by Moon Seol-ri. She guessed at why the song came to her: “My tone is clear, so I think it was picked to bring that out more and make it pop.” In the same interview she added that she felt “the public hasn’t caught all of my charm yet”, and hoped they would look more closely.

Learning to dance, learning languages

Looking back in a July 2024 interview with Sports World, she said that when she first joined the company she could not see why she was told to make her movements bigger, but as time went on dancing became fun and she could see herself improving. She was also studying English and Japanese at once. She first met Japanese as a second foreign language at school, and kept studying it so she could talk easily with Japanese fans.

Features, first pitches and music of her own

She featured on GK’s single ‘IDC’, released on 18 August 2024. “When I first heard the song I liked it so much that I said I’d do it straight away, without a second thought,” she said. At that year’s KBS Song Festival she shared a stage with Baby V.O.X. On 20 September 2025 she threw the ceremonial first pitch for the KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park, and she threw another there on 3 September 2026.

In a November 2025 interview with GQ Korea she said she had done many music sessions with composers, though nothing beyond the debut album had been released yet. She said she had learned much about vocals and music from the singer Younha: “I keep working because I’d like to go on to make my own music someday.” She added that she was confident her voice could carry a bright, fresh rock sound. At the showcase for the single Who is she in April 2026 she said: “Personally, I think our original resolve is ‘always showing our best’.” Ahead of the August single SWEAT she told the Korea JoongAng Daily: “If ‘Sticky’ is a song for a hot day with a refreshing breeze, ‘Sweat’ is for dancing on a scorching sandy beach.”
