STARSHIP Entertainment introduced the members one at a time before the debut, and Gaeul followed An Yu-jin as the second. Newsis reported on 4 November 2021 that “Gaeul, born in 2002, takes the rap position in IVE”. Seoul Economic Daily wrote the next day that IVE was the first girl group Starship Entertainment had presented in five years, and that An Yu-jin, Gaeul and Jang Wonyoung had been revealed so far.
Gaeul’s name is on the choreography as well as the stage. Star News reported from the Seoul show of the second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, on 2 November 2025 that she had taken part in creating the choreography for ‘삐빅 (♥beats)’ (Bbibik), a B-side on the fourth mini album. Before it came ‘TKO’, a B-side on the third.
She set the two side by side at the same event: “It is the second song whose choreography I worked on. Preparing ‘TKO’ weighed on me. This time I made it for fun rather than under pressure.” ‘TKO’ is on IVE EMPATHY, released on 3 February 2025, and ‘Bbibik’ on IVE SECRET, released on 25 August 2025.
The back six tracks of REVIVE+ are one solo song per member, and the one with Gaeul’s name on it is ‘Odd’. The album information on Bugs credits the lyrics to Gaeul and An Young-ju (MUMW); the composition is by Peter Rycroft and three others with MLITE, and Lostboy arranged it.
Han Sung-hyun of IZM, writing about the record on 9 March 2026, singled out two of the solo tracks — ‘Odd’ and Rei’s ‘In Your Heart’. He wrote that the pair “do not stop at rediscovering a character but push all the way to getting the most out of it”.
2026 added a personal channel. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 27 February that Gaeul had opened a solo YouTube channel, 가을의 온도 (Gaeul-ui Ondo, “Gaeul’s temperature”), and that its first short-form video was titled ‘가을이는 회의 중…’ (Gaeul-ineun hoeui jung, “Gaeul is in a meeting…”). The same report said her own content would follow from March, and that she wanted to make a place to talk about detective fiction, the Sherlock Holmes stories included, with guests.
There was hosting, too. Star News reported on 12 February 2026 that Gaeul and Rei were the special hosts of Mnet’s M Countdown that day.

IVE are a six-member girl group under Starship Entertainment — An Yu-jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo — who debuted on 1 December 2021 with the single ELEVEN. Their second full-length album REVIVE+ followed on 23 February 2026, and the official fan club is called DIVE.
IVE pre-release their title track, 'Looks Can Kill', on 19 October and release their fifth mini album of the same name a week later, on the 26th. The album carries six songs: Rei co-wrote the title track's lyrics, and Gaeul and Liz those of 'CRUMBS'. The album is built around a 'girl hero' universe.
IVE's second world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I AM', played three shows at Taipei Arena from 11 to 13 September 2026. Taiwan's Liberty Times reported that all 33,000 tickets for the three nights sold out. The final night, 13 September, was streamed live on Mnet Plus from 7 p.m. KST.
