IVE’s official site gives the agency as Starship Entertainment and the debut date as 1 December 2021, and puts An Yu-jin first in the line-up with her birth date, 1 September 2003. IVE was not her first group. Seoul Shinmun reported that IZ*ONE debuted on 29 October 2018 with a showcase for the first album COLOR*IZ at the Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, performing the debut title track ‘La Vie en Rose’ for the first time, and the same report names An Yu-jin among the twelve members.
When STARSHIP Entertainment began introducing the new group one member a day, An Yu-jin came first. Hankook Ilbo reported on 3 November 2021 that she was born in 2003 and would lead the team as IVE’s leader and vocalist. The description stayed: Newspim captioned a photo story from the press conference for the third mini album IVE EMPATHY on 3 February 2025 “An Yu-jin, the leader of IVE, introducing the album”.
