The group was formed through The Debut: Dream Academy, the audition programme that ran from September to November 2023, and debuted on 28 June 2024. The official site prints a city in brackets beside each member’s name; beside Megan’s it prints Honolulu. Grammy.com described Megan as Chinese Singaporean in August 2024.
