RESCENE's Minami features on Loco's new single 'TATA'

What happened

Minami (미나미) of RESCENE (리센느) is the featured vocalist on rapper Loco’s new digital single ‘TATA’. The song was released as ‘TATA (Feat. Minami of RESCENE)’ on streaming platforms at 6 p.m. KST on 15 October. Loco’s agency, Doover Entertainment, announced the release that day. Loco recently signed an exclusive contract with the company. Munhwa Ilbo reported that ‘TATA’ is about being able to fly to a loved one at any time, however far away they are. According to Ilgan Sports, ‘TATA’ is the first song Minami and Loco have worked on together.

When and where

Sports Kyunghyang reported as an exclusive on 9 October that Minami had been credited on Loco’s new song. According to the same report, Loco posted news of the new single on social media on 8 October together with an emoji of Minami’s signature finger-V pose. Loco released a music video teaser on his official YouTube channel on 14 October and posted the music video at 6 p.m. KST on 15 October. The video was directed by Kim Seungwon, with animation directed by Nam Mac. At 10 p.m. KST the same day, a behind-the-scenes video of the ‘TATA’ recording session, in which Minami appears, went up on YouTube.

Why it matters

Minami debuted with RESCENE in March 2024 after MBC’s audition programme My Teenage Girl. The same outlet noted that a scene on member Woni’s YouTube channel, in which Minami visited Geoje in gyaru styling and shouted “Geoje, yaho”, drew attention and spread online as a meme. In October 2025 Minami featured on PATEKO and SHIRT’s single ‘teachmehowtoloveyou’. On ‘TATA’ she is credited as the featured vocalist. According to Special Times, Loco explained in the recording video why he asked Minami to feature. “I needed a pure vocal,” he said, adding that the song speaks to someone far away, and that he thought Minami, who works away from home, might be able to sing a similar feeling. In the same video Minami said, “I was really grateful to collaborate with a senior whose music I often listen to and whom I respect so much.”
