Anwonjalbu Opened Its One-Million Gold Button at 1.96 Million — the Five Scenes the Members Picked

The YouTube channel of RESCENE's Woni, Anwonjalbu, published its one-million-subscriber Q&A, 'How do you feel right now?', on 4 September 2026. Sports Kyunghyang called it a gold button unboxing opened after the channel had passed 1.96 million, and Ilgan Sports set out the scenes each member picked.

A 33-minute video titled ‘How do you feel right now?’ went up at 7 p.m. KST on 4 September 2026 on the YouTube channel of RESCENE’s Woni, ‘Hello, this is Woni, nice to meet you’. It is the Q&A marking one million subscribers, filmed when the channel had already passed 1.96 million subscribers. Three outlets each covered a different part of it.

A one-million video opened at 1.96 million

Sports Kyunghyang, on 4 September, described the video as the channel’s one-million-subscriber Q&A. According to the same report, the channel had already passed 1.96 million subscribers and was close to two million, and those on camera said they had missed the moment and ended up filming the one-million video late. The gold button is the plaque YouTube sends a channel that passes one million subscribers, and the same outlet said the members took turns holding it.

Ilgan Sports made the same point on 5 September: the channel had already passed two million subscribers by that date, but the gold button unboxing that marks one million was only dealt with in this episode. According to that report, Woni welcomed it with “I’ve only ever seen a gold button on YouTube”, and the other members joined in.

The five scenes each member picked

Ilgan Sports named the conversation that drew the most interest as the one about the episodes and scenes the members like best. According to that report, Minami chose not the widely known ‘Geoje yaho’ shout she gave in gyaru dress, but the scene in which she cheered Woni’s hand-fishing, repeating “oide” — Japanese for ‘come here’ — with a little dance. Minami added, “I think what made it was the background music they put under it.”

May chose ‘We’re RESCENE too…’, the episode she and Liv first appeared in. According to the same report it is the scene that re-enacts what had happened in front of a cafe kiosk when Woni and Minami went there earlier, and May gave her reason: “I actually thought it would be cut, and it wasn’t, and I think it showed how hard I’d been studying the channel.” How the two of them widened what the channel does is set out in the story on Liv and May joining it.

Liv chose the closing scene of ‘Do you like Go Youn-jung?’. According to the same report, that is the moment when Zena, known for her resemblance to the actor Go Youn-jung, had just met and greeted her and was talking about the shoot. The meeting itself is covered in the story on that episode.

Zena said she had too many favourite scenes, then named two: the moment in ‘A Seongsu outing before the boom (dialect, part 2)’ when she said “Sipwon-ppang, surely, not salt bread”, and the moment in ‘Zena, say something’ when she stood with the crowd that had gathered on Hwangnidan-gil behind her, spread her arms and said “I’ve found my roots.” The first is a line she said in the dialect of Gyeongju, where she grew up; how those dialect episodes ran is set out in the story on them.

Woni, whose channel it is, chose a scene from the episode that went looking for Minami’s home town, ‘In search of Minami’s roots’ where she greeted someone with a wave of the arm while looking straight ahead. The same report said the person she greeted was the mother of a friend of Minami’s.

More than 99% of subscribers watch from Korea

Sports Kyunghyang also set down what the episode said about who watches. According to that report, over 99% of the channel’s subscribers today are in Korea. When the diamond button — the plaque for a channel past ten million subscribers — came up, the production team answered that subtitles would be needed to widen the audience abroad. The same outlet reported that Woni said the road to one million subscribers is really hard, and thanked viewers, saying she would work harder from here.

The bear video and the empty house — what Woni and the producer said

TV Report, on 4 September, covered a different part of the same episode. According to that report, Woni read a viewer comment asking for a follow-up to the bear video and went back and forth with the producer about it. Woni said, “There isn’t much in life I’m scared of, so I’d be fine meeting one”, and added, “Obviously not one that bites or kills me, but there are safety measures for all of that, aren’t there. If it’s like that, I can absolutely do it.”

When the producer asked, “Didn’t you see us go into the haunted house?”, Woni answered, “Watching that sort of thing frustrates me. I really could go into an empty house on my own. Put a camera on me and everyone has to clear out, lights and all.” The producer offered, “I’ll put something together. Is it all right if we film you crying from fear?”, and Woni said, “I don’t mind. I’ve never cried from fear.”

They said the channel comes first

The members also talked in the same episode about how they mean to keep the channel going. According to TV Report they said, “Anwonjalbu comes before any other schedule”, and “we have to film it as long as we can.” When the producer predicted the channel would be at two million by the time the video went up, they recorded a two-million thank-you message on the spot, after the one-million one.

Ilgan Sports, on 6 September, gave the greeting in the video as “Thank you for giving us love this big. Such attention is undeserved, so we will work harder.” According to that report the channel passed two million subscribers on 5 September, the day after the video went up.
