Inside Season 2 of Woni's Channel: Zena's Gyeongju Homecoming
Woni's channel closed season 1 on 17 July 2026 and reopened on 7 August with three Gyeongju uploads for Zena: the Hwangnidan-gil homecoming, the dance academy, the nickname.
Woni’s YouTube channel, 안녕하세요원이입니다잘부탁드립니다 — ‘안원잘부’ in Korean press shorthand, or ‘Hello, I’m Woni, nice to meet you’ — is the channel that carried RESCENE’s 2026 reverse run. It is also, since July, a channel that runs in seasons: season 1 closed on 17 July 2026 with a video of unaired footage and a producer’s post, the channel took a break and season 2 opened on 7 August with a trip to Gyeongju, the hometown of member Zena. Two more Gyeongju uploads followed, on 11 and 14 August. This is what the press reported, upload by upload.
17 July: season 1 closes with the unaired footage
The first run ended in public. On 17 July 2026 a video titled ‘안원잘부 미방분’ (unaired footage) was posted on the channel; on 26 August it showed 3,166,877 views. Top Star News reported that the footage included an unaccompanied version of ‘Para Para’, Minami video calling Woni’s mother in gyaru make-up and a reveal that the bear in one of the channel’s early videos was the CEO of THE MUZE, RESCENE’s agency.
The next day, 18 July, PD Yoon Seong-won posted a set of photographs on Instagram with the caption ‘안원잘 시즌1 종료 기념 첫 사진 요청’ — a first photo request to mark the end of season 1. Ilgan Sports and Xports News both reported the post as the close of the season, and both described the channel’s origin the same way: it opened when RESCENE’s leader Woni and Solfa Studio (솔파스튜디오), the production company Yoon leads, came together. Xports News added that the channel would now take a break.
Ilgan Sports credited the first season with taking the channel past one million subscribers and bringing in the general public as well as the fandom; Top Star News listed the gyaru character, ‘거제 야호’, dialect and ‘Silla princess’ as the segments that had drawn a response. The videos carry the same credit in their own descriptions: ‘솔파스튜디오 제작’, produced by Solfa Studio.
7 August: season 2 opens with ‘An idol who came up from Gyeongju’
Sports outlets treated the 7 August upload as the first of what became three Gyeongju episodes: MHN Sports, reporting the 11 August follow-up, called that one ‘the second Gyeongju episode’ — placing the opener as the first. The video’s own title makes the connection: ‘경주에서 올라온 아이돌’, an idol who came up from Gyeongju, Zena’s hometown. On 26 August the upload showed 6,244,139 views, and its description carries the same production credit as season 1, ‘솔파스튜디오 제작’ — produced by Solfa Studio.
The destination was not new to Korean press. Hanteo News had reported in June that Zena earned the nickname ‘신라공주’ (‘Silla princess’) once it became known, through Woni’s channel, that she is from Gyeongju; on 29 June, Gyeongju City cited that connection when it appointed RESCENE as tourism ambassadors. The season 2 premiere put the pairing — Woni’s channel, Zena’s hometown — back on screen three weeks after season 1 closed on 17 July.
11 August: Hwangnidan-gil and the dance academy
The second part went up on 11 August 2026 under the title ‘제나야 말 좀 해라!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ (‘Zena, say something!’), and showed 5,009,492 views on 26 August. MHN Sports reported the episode the same evening. Its opening turns on a small joke: Woni, whose Geoje dialect is part of the channel’s identity, greeted viewers in careful standard Korean, said with a laugh that she had ‘lost her beginner’s spirit’ and was teased by the production team about minding a number one brand-reputation ranking.
The destination was Hwangnidan-gil, Gyeongju’s street of cafes and shops. At a shop selling 십원빵 (10-won bread, a coin-shaped snack), a staff member greeted the pair with the line that anyone who did not know the ‘Silla princess’ was a spy. MHN reported passers-by recognising them on the street, a crowd forming at a cafe and the PD remarking that street filming might no longer be possible — the first time, the outlet noted, that Zena had visited her hometown since becoming known.
The episode then moved to a Gyeongju dance academy Zena had attended while working towards becoming a singer; she danced with its current students while Woni watched, MHN reported.
Days before the episode aired, on 4 August, Daegu Ilbo had separately profiled a Gyeongju academy it named as the one that produced Zena — Premium Dance Studio, visited by the paper on 29 July. Its director, Ahn Jeong-eun, said Zena arrived in 2020 as an elementary sixth-grader, on her mother’s suggestion, when COVID-19 kept her at home, and grew in confidence as she learned to dance. A cover video Zena filmed there as a student — of the animation Potendog’s ‘똥 밟았네’, with Zena playing a grandmother, a role for which the director said she prepared expressions and acting — had recently resurfaced on YouTube, and the academy’s cover team, PDS Crew, was rehearsing ‘LOVE ATTACK’ when the reporter called. Students there told Daegu Ilbo that travelling to Seoul for auditions, KTX fares included, is a burden for young people in Gyeongju who want to become idols.
The ‘Silla princess’, the city and the third upload
The nickname that runs through the season predates it. Hanteo News reported on 11 June 2026 that Zena earned the name ‘Silla princess’ (신라공주) when it became known, through Woni’s channel, that she is from Gyeongju, the former capital of the Silla kingdom. On 29 June Gyeongju City appointed RESCENE as its tourism ambassadors, citing Zena’s roots and her Gyeongsang-dialect content on the channel.
A third Gyeongju upload followed the two press-covered episodes: ‘너 도와주러 온거야’ (‘I came to help you’) was published on 14 August 2026 and showed 4,891,630 views on 26 August; its description credits Gyeongju World, an amusement park in the city, for filming cooperation.
Taken together, the July and August uploads show how the channel now organises itself: a season closes with unaired footage and a producer’s post, a break follows and the next season opens with a member’s hometown told across several parts, two of which Korean press reported as episodes in their own right.
