‘Bloom’ is one of the two title tracks of lip bomb, RESCENE’s third mini album, released on 25 November 2025 at 6 p.m. KST; the other is ‘Heart Drop’, pre-released on 6 November. Star News reported the two as double title tracks when the tracklist was revealed on 18 November.
eDaily described the song as one of self-belief and hope, singing of the courage to trust oneself, shine and bloom as the lead of every moment; the album introduction says the same. The scent of lip bomb is berry, and according to ET News this song’s berry is the blackberry.
The lyrics are by 방혜현, 이주헌 and 더풀킴, and the music by Nils Rulewski Stenberg, Jonna Hall, 이주헌, 황세영, 더풀킴, CX Lucas and Ninos Hanna. Member Minami sang background vocals.
In his Lip Bomb review for IZM, So Seung-geun described the song as “an eight-beat song that opens with a 32-beat hi-hat”, and wrote that its appeal “will not come off your ears and your heart, like injeolmi stuck to the roof of your mouth”. The review continued: “it is as unforced as ‘Love attack’, the five voices rising by degrees through the main melody stand for their growth, and Minami’s ad-lib in the later part of ‘MVP’ means maturity.”
For Idology’s 20 best albums of 2025, Binunmul (비눈물) placed the song where it joins the records before it, writing that “the organic flow is emphasised in the way the sense of space and feeling shown on ‘Glow Up’ and ‘Deja vu’, which are theirs, connect through to ‘Bloom’”.
Son Min-hyun, explaining in IZM’s ‘Runaway’ review the following year how the group turn their declared scent into sound, wrote that “as the result of meticulous perfumery, ‘Love attack’ and ‘Bloom’ came close to the most exemplary strategy a rookie girl group could take”.
The official music video went up on the group’s channel on release day. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 23 December that it had passed about 23 million views. According to the same report the group promoted this song on music shows and closed with a Show! Music Core stage on 20 December. A performance video went up on the same channel on 8 December.
