Heart Drop

The song

‘Heart Drop’ was released at 6 p.m. KST on 6 November 2025 as the pre-release song of RESCENE’s third mini album lip bomb. When the record followed on 25 November it was promoted as one of its two title tracks, with ‘Bloom’. Star News described it as a song of sweet whispers that draw the listener in by scent before they notice, with a melody that spreads softly over a dreamy track.

The scent of lip bomb is berry, and each of its five songs carries a berry of its own. According to ET News, this song’s berry is the cranberry; Star News wrote in its tracklist report that the song had spread the cranberry scent first.

Reviews

Writing about lip bomb for Idology’s 20 best albums of 2025, Binunmul (비눈물) noted that “the sense of rhythm in ‘In my lotion’ carries into ‘Heart Drop’ and widens there into an alluring image”. In the April 2026 Monthly note the same writer looked back at the song as “‘Heart Drop’, which added an urgent sense of speed to a dreamlike mood”, and wrote that the speed was put to use again on the next single, ‘Runaway’.

So Seung-geun’s Lip Bomb review at the same outlet lists this song as the record’s first track and does not discuss it in the prose.

Son Min-hyun took this song as his reference point in IZM’s ‘Runaway’ review as well: judged by “the rhythm chopped fine in the way of the day” alone, he wrote, the new song “might do more than the role ‘Heart drop’ played on the previous record Lip Bomb”.
