The song
‘Busy Boy’ is a collaboration project song RESCENE released on 27 February 2026 at 6 p.m. KST. According to Sports Kyunghyang it came out through the AA Project — a collaboration that brings K-pop artists and global DJs together under the slogan ‘Aim for the Peak’ — and is the song that shows the project’s first direction. The album information page lists Aria and PIG Entertainment as the production companies.
The same outlet described it as the story of a relationship that shrinks the more one likes the other person, until the honest line “I hate you, Busy Boy” comes out. The lyrics are by DOKO (도코), 이시연, 이주헌 and 더풀킴, and the music by DOKO (도코) and Blue.D (블루디); DOKO is the executive producer.
Reviews
Idology filed the release under the record title RESCENE X ???. Writing the February 2026 Monthly note, Cho Eun-jae said the song “keeps step with a discography whose use of elegant harmony has stood out so far, and at the same time reproduces admirably a dance-pop that brings in the electronica sound popular in the 2000s”. Of the stage, the same note wrote that “besides a vocal performance whose timbre is clearly and finely dressed, it is above all the showy choreography suited to the up-tempo that keeps the repeating stretches — which could easily have turned monotonous — from becoming dull to watch”.
Two months later, in the Monthly note on ‘Runaway’, Binunmul (비눈물) at the same outlet looked back at this song as “‘Busy Boy’, which tested the possibilities of a repeating hook inside a trendy genre”, and wrote that the right density of that repeating hook, “gauged here, was applied effectively to ‘Runaway’”.
Video and remix
A music video teaser came out on 26 February, and the group performed a special stage for the song on Show! Music Core on 28 February. The official music video is on the AMUSE channel rather than the group’s own. A remix by Galantis followed on 12 March.
