Jaemin is a member of NCT DREAM, under SM Entertainment. Newsen reported that he marked his birthday on 13 August 2020. Away from the stage, two things describe him: the photographer behind the camera, and the actor in front of it.
According to Marie Claire Korea, from 2019 he equipped himself properly with cameras and editing gear, photographing and retouching the other members himself and posting the pictures on the group’s official social media. Speaking to Esquire Korea in January 2024 about the solo exhibition he was preparing, he said: “What I’m looking forward to most at my exhibition is ‘empathy’.”
That exhibition was his first solo photo show, NARCISSISM – JAEMIN 1st EXHIBITION. The Hankook Ilbo reported that it ran from 29 June to 19 July 2024 at CCCS Hannam in Hannam-dong, Seoul. “In this exhibition I tried to capture the journey of a gaze of self-love that starts from me and gradually widens into the world around me,” he said. Sports Chosun reported that a photo book of the exhibited work was on sale at the venue. The same month he told Allure Korea: “A good photograph is the ‘truth’. Everything shows in a photograph.”
His first acting role came in 2019. Xportsnews reported that he had been cast as the male lead, Han Dae-gang, in the JTBC4 drama Method to Hate You (너를 싫어하는 방법), adapted from the webtoon of the same name, and that it was his first time acting. For it he won Best Actor at the 6th Seoul Webfest, held online on 22 August 2020.
His second was Windup, released exclusively on the short-form platform KITZ in January 2026. According to Newspim, he plays Tae-hee, a transfer student who once batted for his middle-school baseball team and who turns up out of nowhere in front of the pitcher played by Jeno to appoint himself manager. He introduced it to Esquire Korea with: “I’d like people to watch it thinking of it as pure fantasy.”
In 2025 he hosted a year-end awards show for the first time. Dispatch reported that he had been named MC of 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon with DAY6’s Young K and IVE’s An Yu-jin, with the broadcast on 25 December.
On 23 February 2026 he and Jeno released the first mini album BOTH SIDES as the unit NCT JNJM. In a Q&A with CBS Nocut News he said: “I think we worried a lot from the planning stage, because we thought the concept running through the whole album mattered most.” On the group album Beat It Up he sang the unit track ‘Tempo’ with Jeno and Jisung.
According to Cosinkorea, the skincare brand Isntree announced in July 2025 that it had chosen him as its first brand model.

NCT DREAM are a six-member boy group under SM Entertainment, who began with the debut single 'Chewing Gum' in August 2016. Their sixth mini album Beat It Up became their tenth consecutive million-selling album in November 2025.
SM Entertainment said on 20 August 2026 that all six NCT DREAM members had renewed their contracts. Two days later the group held its 10th-anniversary fan meeting in Incheon, and on the night of 24 August a livestream counted down to the anniversary itself. Here is how the three fit together in one week.
