Renjun is a member of NCT DREAM, the six-member SM Entertainment group who began with the debut single ‘Chewing Gum’ in August 2016. The South China Morning Post wrote that he was born in Jilin province, northeast China, in March 2000.
In its piece on the fifth full-length album Go Back To The Future, released on 14 July 2025, The Korea Herald quoted him saying that every past moment had made the group who they are, so they “ultimately decided not to change anything”. SM Entertainment said on 20 August 2026 that Renjun and the five other members had all renewed their contracts.
On the sixth mini album Beat It Up, out on 17 November 2025, Renjun sang the unit track ‘Butterflies’ with Haechan and Chenle. The Korea Herald described it as an acoustic pop ballad over lyrical guitar.
