All Six NCT DREAM Members Renew, in Their 10th-Anniversary Week

SM Entertainment said on 20 August 2026 that all six NCT DREAM members had renewed their contracts. Two days later the group held its 10th-anniversary fan meeting in Incheon, and on the night of 24 August a livestream counted down to the anniversary itself. Here is how the three fit together in one week.

What happened

SM Entertainment said on 20 August 2026 that all six NCT DREAM members had renewed their contracts. As Munhwa Ilbo reported it, the company said that “Haechan, who had already renewed, along with members Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung, signed new contracts based on their deep trust in one another and unwavering affection for the team.” The Korea Herald reported that Haechan had signed a month earlier alongside NCT 127 members, and that the other five followed.

Two days later came the fan meeting. TenAsia reported that the 10th-anniversary fan meeting The Sweet Dream Hotel was held on 22 and 23 August at Inspire Arena in Incheon, that both days sold out, and that some 23,000 people attended. It followed the format The Korea Herald had described in June: the six members working as hotel staff.

Then, at 11pm on 24 August, came the livestream OUR SUMMER DREAM : NCT DREAM 10TH ANNIVERSARY. TenAsia wrote that it counted down to 25 August, the anniversary of the debut itself.

First, the renewal and the 10th anniversary fell in the same week. But “ten years” and “all six” sit in one sentence here for a particular reason.

According to Hankook Ilbo, NCT DREAM was run as a team its teenage members graduated from on turning 20. That system was abolished in 2020, and a seven-member line-up settled in afterwards. The same paper reported that one member left the team in April 2026, leaving six. Under the design the group debuted with, the current line-up would not have stayed together at all — and the announcement of 20 August sits on top of that.
