Jiwoo지우지우
Jiwoo (지우) is a member of NMIXX, the JYP Entertainment girl group who debuted on 22 February 2022. She was one of the first members the agency revealed, seven months before the debut, and music writers have described her as one of the group's rappers.
Jiwoo (지우) is a member of NMIXX, the six-member JYP Entertainment girl group. The agency’s own profile page gives her birth date as 13 April 2005 and lists her fifth of the six. She debuted with the group on 22 February 2022 with the single album AD MARE.
The agency introduced the members one at a time before the group had a name, and Jiwoo was in the first instalment. Edaily reported on 6 August 2021 that JYP Entertainment had uploaded a dance cover video to a new YouTube channel, JYPn, presenting three of the trainees preparing to debut. The video ran about a minute, the same report said, and held nothing but choreography to Cardi B’s ‘Press’; Jiwoo danced with her hair in a ponytail. A month later Newsis wrote that the video had passed one million views on YouTube within five days of going up.
That July the agency had sold a limited edition of the debut album, the ‘BLIND PACKAGE’, for ten days without naming a member or the group; Newsis put the pre-orders at 61,667 copies. The debut followed on 22 February the next year.
The agency’s profile page states no position for any member. What Jiwoo does inside the group was written down by the music press instead. Reviewing the first EP expérgo on 22 March 2023, NME’s Gladys Yeo wrote that “rappers Jiwoo and Kyujin inject fresh, spunky energy into each track”.
In the same magazine’s 25 best K-pop songs of 2023, published on 19 December that year, ‘Roller Coaster’ from the third single album A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream was placed twenty-second, and the entry named the closing as the song’s best moment: it could not have had a better ending, NME wrote, than the outro sung by Kyujin and Jiwoo.
Jiwoo’s first photoshoot came in 2025. JTBC reported on 24 June that Harper’s Bazaar Korea had published a shoot with Jiwoo and Kyujin, the first for either of them. In the same piece Jiwoo said of the fourth EP Fe3O4: FORWARD, released that March, that the goal had been “to show a new side of me nobody had seen”. On mixpop, the genre the group has made its own, she said: “At first I only thought of mixpop as an opportunity, but I came to realise it takes far more work, and now showing several colours of music in one song has become the genre we do best.”
She has hosted as well. Top Star News reported on 15 October 2025 that Haewon, Jiwoo and Kyujin would host episode 909 of Mnet’s M Countdown the following day — the same broadcast on which the group performed its comeback stage for the first studio album Blue Valentine.
On 10 May 2026 she stood on a ballpark mound. Star News reported that Jiwoo threw the ceremonial first pitch before a KBO League game between the Doosan Bears and the SSG Landers at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
Ahead of the single ‘TIC TIC’, released in February 2026, Jiwoo told W Korea that the song “moves very fast, the way a Latin track does”. In the same interview Bae said the group had had a connection with Latin America since its debut.

NMIXX are a six-member JYP Entertainment girl group who debuted on 22 February 2022 with the single album AD MARE under the banner of MIXX POP. The Fe3O4 trilogy and the first full-length album Blue Valentine followed, and in November 2025 they opened their first world tour.
NMIXX's first headline world tour, EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER, opened at Incheon's Inspire Arena in November 2025, four years after the group debuted. It went through five European cities and six North American ones in spring 2026, and grew to 19 shows in 17 cities once five Asian dates were added.
NMIXX release their sixth mini album, Strange Muse, at 6 p.m. KST on 19 October. They posted an a cappella highlight medley on the 11th and an original one on the 15th, which first played their first three unit songs. They then close their first world tour in Incheon on 27-29 November.
