Who NMIXX are

NMIXX (엔믹스) are a six-member girl group under JYP Entertainment. In the order the agency’s own profile page lists them they are Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin, and Haewon is the leader. They debuted on 22 February 2022 with the single album AD MARE and its title track ‘O.O’.

The name joins the letter N — standing for now, next, new and the unknown n — to MIX, a word for diversity. Financial News, reporting the debut showcase, rendered the idea as “the best combination to take charge of a new era”. The official fandom name is NSWER (엔써), and MHN Sports reported that the first intake of the official fan club would open on 20 February 2023.

What came before the name

Without revealing a single thing about the group, the agency sold a limited edition of the debut album, the ‘BLIND PACKAGE’, for ten days in July 2021; Newsis put the pre-orders at 61,667 copies. By the same report, JYP set up a new division, Artist Division 4, for this group alone.

From 6 August that year the members were introduced one at a time through ‘QUALIFYING’, a series of cover videos on a new YouTube channel, JYPn. Star News wrote on 24 November that the series had reached twelve dance and vocal covers, and that the line-up was settled when Lily was revealed last, at midnight on 19 November. Newsis reported the same day that the JYPn channel had passed 13.6 million views in about three months. Which video introduced whom is on each member’s page.

Records that opened with MIXX POP

AD MARE means “toward the sea”, and ‘O.O’ pictures eyes wide with surprise and the exclamation “Oh!”, the same showcase report explained. JYP Entertainment said the release introduced MIXX POP — more than one genre inside a single song — and described ‘O.O’ as a mix of baile funk and teenage pop rock. The single entered Circle Chart’s weekly album chart at number three; seven months later the second single album, ENTWURF, entered at number one in its week of release. That November brought the digital single ‘Funky Glitter Christmas’.

The first EP, expérgo, followed on 20 March 2023, and the agency introduced it as the opening of a second series, ‘Docking Station’. On the third single album four months later, A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream, the title track ‘Party O’Clock’ was, according to The Korea Herald, the first NMIXX song written and produced by Park Jin-young.

The magnetite trilogy and a first win

From the second EP, Fe3O4: BREAK, released on 15 January 2024, the records carried the chemical formula for magnetite. Billboard reported that the EP returned NMIXX to number one on its Emerging Artists chart dated 3 February 2024, and that it entered the Billboard 200 at number 171. On the third EP, Fe3O4: STICK OUT of 19 August that year, the title track ‘별별별 (See that?)’ placed first on M Countdown on 29 August — the group’s first music-show win.

The trilogy closed with Fe3O4: FORWARD on 17 March 2025. IZM’s Son Min-hyun wrote of it: “This is the real turn from ‘MIXX pop’ to ‘NMIXX’ pop.” Idology included it among its 20 albums of 2025.

The first full-length album

Blue Valentine, the group’s first full-length album, arrived on 13 October 2025, three years and eight months after the debut. It holds twelve tracks, the last two of them the two songs ‘O.O’ was built from before they were mixed. The title track spent four consecutive weeks at number one on Circle Chart’s weekly digital chart, and W Korea wrote that 1,331 days after the debut it reached number one on Melon’s daily, weekly and monthly charts.

The year-end lists took it up. Billboard placed the album second among its 25 K-pop albums of the year, NME put the track ‘SPINNIN’ ON IT’ first among its K-pop songs of 2025, and IZM named NMIXX its artist of the year for 2025. According to W Korea, the album and Fe3O4: FORWARD were both nominated in the best K-pop album category of the 23rd Korean Music Awards.

2026: a new record and two South American stages

On 26 February 2026 came the digital single ‘TIC TIC’, featuring the Brazilian singer Pabllo Vittar. NMIXX had earlier featured on Pabllo Vittar’s own single ‘MEXE’, and Idology’s Quibbie noted that this time the order was reversed. The same month the group performed at the São Paulo Carnival in Brazil and at the Viña del Mar festival in Chile.

The fifth EP, Heavy Serenade, released on 11 May, carries a member’s name in the lyric credits of five of its six tracks, and it reached number one on Hanteo’s weekly physical album chart and on Circle Chart’s album chart. The credits and the chart record are set out in the story on the EP.

From fan concerts to a world tour

The first fan-concert tour, ‘NMIXX CHANGE UP : MIXX UNIVERSITY’, ran to eight shows in four cities in Korea and Asia. The second, ‘MIXX LAB TOUR’, which opened in Seoul in October 2024, grew to 20 shows in 12 places, and SBS Korean, the Australian broadcaster’s Korean-language service, described the June 2025 shows in Melbourne and Sydney as the group’s first solo concerts in Australia.

The first full solo concert came on 29 and 30 November 2025 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, as the opening night of the world tour ‘EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER’. By way of five cities in Europe, six in North America and five in Asia the tour grew to 19 shows in 17 cities, and it ended with two nights in Tokyo in August 2026. On 19 September, at the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS in Busan, the group received Sound of the Year and Artist of the Year.

The six members

Lily joined JYP after appearing on SBS’s K-pop Star Season 4, and is the sole lyricist of ‘LOUD’, the closing track of Heavy Serenade. Haewon has led the group since its debut and has hosted the web series 워크돌 (Workdol) and MBC’s holiday special Idol Star Athletics Championships. Sullyoon was an MC of MBC’s Show! Music Core for about two years from 2023. Bae fronted her first show on her own with the web series 회포자 (Hoepoja), and her name is in the lyric credits of ‘Different Girl’ and ‘Superior’ on Heavy Serenade. Jiwoo was in the very first JYPn reveal video, and the music press has described Jiwoo and Kyujin as the group’s rappers. Kyujin took part in the saxophonist Jason Lee’s ‘Take A Chance’ in August 2026 as featured vocalist and co-lyricist.

What to watch now

JYP Entertainment announced on 31 July 2026 that NMIXX would release N=MIXX, a best-of album marking their Japanese debut, on 9 December. According to News1 it holds twelve tracks, among them ‘Blue Valentine’ and Japanese versions of earlier songs. Title-track music videos are posted on JYP Entertainment’s channel, and the group’s own content and stage videos on the NMIXX YouTube channel.
