How RESCENE's Music Show Audience Entry Opens and Closes

Entry to a RESCENE music show audience opens episode by episode. The agency, THE MUZE Entertainment, publishes a notice for each programme, and that notice sets the application window, the head count, the roll-call time and the order of entry for that episode alone. Even the same programme splits: a pre-recording and a live broadcast are two notices.

This guide reads seven published episode notices next to each other. They went up on the agency’s own site between 30 August and 10 September 2024, for SBS Inkigayo, Mnet M Countdown, KBS2 Music Bank, SBS M The Show, Arirang TV Simply K-Pop and two for MBC M Show Champion, and were checked against the originals on 11 September 2026.

The numbers belong to those episodes and not to the next one. RESCENE’s official home left the agency site on 13 November 2024 for the Plus Chat space, where episode notices are published now. This guide explains the structure; it does not ask anyone to take part in it.

1. Find where the episode notice is published

The seven from 2024 went up on the notice board of the agency site themuze.kr, in its section for public-broadcast notices. A notice of 11 November 2024 then announced that RESCENE’s official home would leave themuze.kr on 13 November, and that notices, schedules and content would move to the b.stage/Plus Chat space.

The episode notice is the final word for its day, but it is not fixed either. All seven state that the notice may change with conditions at the venue, and name RESCENE’s official X account as the place to check changes.

2. Read when the application window opens and closes

Applications open at a stated time and close quickly. Across the seven, the window ran between 30 and 60 minutes. The Inkigayo episode took applications on 30 August 2024 from 18:00 to 18:30 KST; Simply K-Pop on 31 August from 12:00 to 13:00; The Show the same day from 14:00 to 15:00.

The following week looked the same. M Countdown ran on 4 September from 19:00 to 20:00 and Music Bank that evening from 21:00 to 22:00. Show Champion took pre-recording applications on 10 September from 19:00 to 20:00 and live-broadcast applications from 20:00 to 21:00.

3. Read the rules attached to the form

The conditions on the form are almost identical across the seven. One application per person, no edits after submission, and no cancellation once applied. Duplicate submissions are not accepted.

One condition is about the clock. Only forms completed after the opening time on the hour are valid, and anyone who applied before the window is removed from the final list. Not following the form removes an application as well, and the notice may close early if the number of applicants exceeds the places before the stated deadline.

The name is a condition too: the notices state that entry is not possible where the name on the application differs from the name on the identity document.

4. Note how far the head count and the venue vary

Within a single promotion cycle the numbers moved a great deal. The Inkigayo episode admitted ten at the SBS open hall in Deungchon-dong, the Music Bank episode ten on standby at the KBS annexe open hall, and the Show Champion live episode ten at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan. M Countdown and The Show stated only that the number would be confirmed at the venue on the day.

Pre-recordings ran an order of magnitude larger. The Show Champion pre-recording with a mini fan meeting admitted 100, and the Simply K-Pop episode 65 for the pre-recording and 100 for the mini fan meeting: numbers 1 to 65 in order of application joined the pre-recording, and 66 to 100 the fan meeting only.

5. Read the roll-call time and what counts as late

There is a roll-call time at the venue separate from the start of participation. The Inkigayo episode was scheduled for 15:20 with the roll call for numbers 1 to 10 from 14:00; the Music Bank episode was 17:10 with a roll call at 15:30.

Larger episodes split the roll call by number. Show Champion’s pre-recording called 1 to 50 from 07:30 and 51 to 100 from 08:00; Simply K-Pop called 1 to 65 from 12:30 and 66 to 100 from 13:30.

The notices state that the roll call begins on the hour. Anyone not at the venue at that time is recorded as late, moves down the entry order, and queues separately.

6. Read what the entry order ranks

Entry looks at the application and the required items together. On the episodes where joining on the day was not possible, the order has two tiers: first, applicants drawn from the pre-registration who have their items; second, latecomers who have their items.

Where joining on the day was possible, a third tier appears. The Show Champion pre-recording notice lists third those who join at the venue with their items. That every tier repeats ‘with their items’ is what the table is really about.

7. Read what is not allowed at the venue

The notices set out four venue rules. Entry to the live broadcast is for ages 15 and over, and under-15s cannot enter. No one may leave a public broadcast partway through; the audience leaves after the broadcast ends. Cameras, tripods and other electronic and filming equipment may not be brought in, and bags are checked before entry. The notices also state that fans of another act may not apply, and that entry is refused where someone is identified as one at the venue, for instance by carrying another act’s light stick.

Some conditions belong to one episode. The Show episode was standing-room only, and its notice stated that entry was restricted for anyone 165 cm or taller. The same notice said the number of fan seats available for a live broadcast can change with conditions at the venue.

8. Note what a no-show is recorded as

Once a name is on the list, a no-show is recorded. The notices state that a first no-show after the list is drawn up is a warning, and that two or more mean no participation in any public broadcast run for that album.

It reads alongside the earlier rule that cancellation is already closed: the notices ask that only people who can attend apply, because an application cannot be withdrawn.

9. Note that a separate notice sets the required items

An episode notice carries an items section, but the detail belongs to a separate notice. The 2024 episode notices linked ‘RESCENE 공개 방송 준비물 안내(240829ver.)’ — the guide to items for a public broadcast, version 240829 — at that point.

10. Note why each episode notice has to be read again

The seven already contain several exceptions. The Show Champion pre-recording notice was a re-publication, changed from no on-the-day entry to on-the-day entry allowed. The Simply K-Pop notice carried a version stamp of its own, 0831 ver., and gave advance warning that the mini fan meeting had a segment fans take part in and might be filmed for an Arirang TV special and broadcast later.

The same programme on the same day splits too: on 11 September 2024 Show Champion’s pre-recording and live broadcast were two notices with different application times and different head counts. Frequently asked questions

The notices call the first tier of the entry order ‘pre-registration winners’ and say the window may close early if applications exceed the places.
