Dahyun is a member of the nine-member girl group TWICE. She made her screen debut in 2025 with the film You Are the Apple of My Eye, and the same year appeared in her first drama, JTBC's Love Me.

Announcing the eighth mini album, Feel Special, in September 2019, the agency wrote that ‘TRICK IT’ was the first song on which Dahyun tried her hand at lyrics. Since then she has had lyric credits on tracks of READY TO BE (March 2023), With YOU-th (February 2024) and STRATEGY (December 2024), and in October 2025 she took part in the lyrics of ‘CHESS’, her solo song on the tenth-anniversary album.
Her first role was settled in May 2024. JYP said she had been cast in the independent feature film 전력질주 (Jeollyeok jilju), directed by Lee Seung-hoon, and would try acting for the first time since the debut (Sports Kyunghyang); the title reads “running flat out”, and her part was the lead, Ji-eun.
But the first to reach cinemas was You Are the Apple of My Eye, released on 21 February 2025. It is director Cho Young-myoung’s remake of the 2011 Taiwanese film of the same name; Dahyun played Seon-ah, and with Jinyoung she wrote, composed and sang the theme song, ‘You Are the Apple of My Eye’. In an interview with the Korea Herald she said “acting has been my dream for so long”, and that throughout the shoot she would think, “What would Seon-ah do here?”
전력질주 opened on 10 September that year (The Fact). The Ji-eun she plays is a runner who goes back to the track because she loves the moment she feels her heart beat (Rolling Stone Korea).
Her drama debut is JTBC’s Friday series Love Me. She played Ji Hye-on, a publishing editor who dreams of becoming a novelist (Newsis); it premiered on 19 December 2025 and ended in January 2026. At the press conference the day before the premiere she said: “On set the director helped me a lot, and filming with Lee Si-woo was fun, so I think my first drama will stay a good memory.”
In September 2026 Ilgan Sports reported that she had been cast as the lead of the youth romance film 구름이 구르미 (Gureumi gureumi), as the art student Oh Gu-reum, and had finished a script reading with Cha Woo-min.
On 17 April 2024 the cosmetics brand A’pieu announced that it had renewed its ambassador contract with Dahyun, making it four years together (Singlelist). In August that year Michael Kors, whose global brand ambassador she is, released an autumn campaign shot in Seoul (Korea Duty Free News).

The tenth-anniversary special album carries one solo song by each of the nine members, and Dahyun wrote on hers.
