Avex’s official portal records that he, Riku, Sakuya and Ryo were chosen through NCT Universe: LASTART and joined Sion and Yushi, who had already been presented as SM Rookies. Mynavi News reports that he was scouted after posting a singing video on YouTube, and THE FIRST TIMES that he entered the programme from its third mission.
