He sang for the SBS documentary about the panda Fu Bao in March 2024, and on 28 December 2024 released his first drama song since his debut, ‘같이 걸을래’ (Gachi Georeullae) for Channel A’s Check-in Hanyang.
His first solo song, ‘SUGAR’, came out on 28 November 2025. That day he held his first solo fan meeting, Golden Sugar Time, at Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, where he performed the song for the first time; both shows sold out, according to Star News. “Starting with this song, I’ll keep finding colours of my own, so please look forward to it,” he said.
In a Weverse notice SM said that he had applied to the army band and received his final acceptance on 29 October 2025. He enlisted on 8 December, saying that day, “I won’t forget the love you’ve given me, and I’ll come back looking even better,” CBS NoCut News reported. Sports Kyunghyang wrote in July 2026 that he was serving alongside Doyoung.
