Baek Ji-heon on Naked Korean History 2, and Her First Film

What happened

fromis_9’s Baek Ji-heon is a regular on tvN STORY’s Naked Korean History 2 (벌거벗은 한국사2). Xports News reported on 11 August 2025 that the second season would begin at 8 p.m. KST on 9 September, with the history lecturer Choi Tae-sung presenting as he had in the first season and the actor Kwon Hyuk-soo and Baek joining as new cast. The programme’s official page lists four names: Choi Tae-sung, Kim Dong-hyun, Kwon Hyuk-soo and Baek Ji-heon.

The film came a month before that. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 13 August 2025 that she had been cast as Kwon Na-eun in the film Nerd Rhapsody. It is her first acting role, and Kwon Na-eun is an aspiring singer-songwriter who transfers late into an arts high school. The outlet wrote that she plays the guitar and sings on screen herself.

In the summer of 2026 the group’s schedule and her broadcasting overlapped. Top Star News reported on 23 July that the special hosts of episode 956 of MBC’s Show! Music Core, two days later, would be Baek, Song Ha-young and Lee Na-kyung; and Money Today reported on 24 July that Baek and Song would appear as defendants in the ‘Open Court’ segment of KBS 2TV’s Gag Concert on 26 July. The comedian Park Jun-hyung, who plays the judge in the segment, declared a caution and release for the first time in its history, the same outlet wrote.

Why is it trending?

What put her in a history programme’s chair is a certificate. Xports News reported that on the first broadcast, on 9 September 2025, she explained how she came to hold grade one of the Korean History Proficiency Test: “I got it because I was bored. I got it during the COVID period.” The programme’s official page also records that she holds it.

The production team gave the same reason. Newsen reported on 27 August 2025 that they said, “Baek Ji-heon is interested enough in history to hold grade one of the Korean History Proficiency Test,” adding, “We think she can carry the subject of history to viewers in a closer and more interesting way.”

She left her name on the album too. The tracklist Sports Kyunghyang published on 8 July 2026 gives ‘Cold Blood’, the seventh song on the second full-length album Glow ME, as a unit song by Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-kyung and Baek Ji-heon. In the same outlet’s interview of 20 July she named ‘DAY1’, which she co-wrote, as the B-side she holds dearest: “It is a song I took part in writing for the first time in a long while, and I wrote it thinking of the person I wanted to become at the time, so I think I am fonder of it.”
