Song Ha-young's Three Days as Special DJ on Wendy's Young Street

What happened

fromis_9’s Song Ha-young presented her first broadcast as special DJ of SBS Power FM’s Wendy’s Young Street on 29 June 2026. The broadcaster published the full studio video of that show on its own channel and named the special DJ in the title.

She held the microphone for three days. Frameless reported that the broadcast of 1 July 2026 was also presented by Song as special DJ.

Radio was not all of it. Top Star News reported on 23 July 2026 that the special hosts of episode 956 of MBC’s Show! Music Core, two days later, would be Song Ha-young, Lee Na-kyung and Baek Ji-heon. Money Today reported on 24 July that Song and Baek would appear as defendants in the ‘Open Court’ segment of KBS 2TV’s Gag Concert on 26 July.

Why is it trending?

The summer began with a web series. Star News reported on 19 June 2026 that the first episode of Door-to-Door Girls (방판소녀들), featuring Song Ha-young and Lee Na-kyung, had gone up on 15 June. It is participatory content in which the two meet members of the public around Seoul and try door-to-door selling, and the production company Studio Bridge told the outlet that it had “focused on the process of citizens and cast making the content together, away from the grammar of existing variety shows”. Seoul Shinmun reported that the fourth episode, published on 6 July, was filmed on the streets of Yeonnam-dong in Seoul.

An album arrived in between. The tracklist Sports Kyunghyang published on 8 July 2026 gives ‘Why do I cry?’, the eighth song on the second full-length album Glow ME, as a unit song by Song Ha-young and Park Ji-won, and says the five members took part in writing and composing several of the songs.

She described what had changed the day before release. In Star News’s question-and-answer piece of 20 July 2026, Song said of the difference from the previous album, “The biggest difference is that all of the members took part in working on the songs,” and named ‘Why do I cry?’ as the B-side she is fond of.
