The First Lyrics Lee Chae-young Wrote: fromis_9's 'Cold Blood'

What happened

fromis_9 released their second full-length album, Glow ME, on 21 July 2026. It carries ten tracks and the title track is ‘Vitamin ME’. The seventh track, ‘Cold Blood’, is the first song Lee Chae-young wrote lyrics for. In a written interview published by Star News the day before release she named it as her first, and said it was so much her own style that her heart raced the first time she heard it. In the same interview the group said they wanted to be something like a vitamin this summer, giving strength and energy to the people listening.

Why is it trending?

It is fromis_9’s first full-length album in about three years, since Unlock My World in 2023, and in the meantime Lee Chae-young put her own lyrics on a record for the first time. The title track ‘Vitamin ME’ took first place on Show Champion on 29 July 2026, eight days after release, and on 18 August Marie Claire Korea ran a shoot and interview with Lee Chae-young and Lee Na-kyung.
