What happened
The YouTube channel of RESCENE’s Woni, ‘Hello, this is Woni, nice to meet you’ (Anwonjalbu), passed two million subscribers on 5 September 2026. Ilgan Sports reported on 6 September that it stood at 2.03 million the following day. That is about seven months after the first video went up in February.
When and where
According to the same report, the channel passed 100,000 subscribers in early May 2026 and 200,000 little more than a week later, and reached two million seven months after it opened. 5 September, the day it passed two million, is the day after the one-million-subscriber Q&A went up. Sports Kyunghyang, on 4 September, put the subscriber count at the time that video went up above 1.96 million, and reported in the same piece that over 99% of subscribers today are in Korea. YouTube’s own figures on 7 September 2026 are 2.04 million subscribers, 387,214,067 lifetime views and 105 videos.
Why it matters
Ilgan Sports named the content behind the rise: the gyaru episodes with the Japanese member Minami and the dialect episodes with Zena, who is from Gyeongju. The same outlet wrote that Liv and May picked up the nickname ‘Lit and Met’, and that with every member drawing attention through the channel, each member’s home town made RESCENE its ambassador. In its report of 5 September the same outlet said three episodes on the channel have passed ten million views, and explained that long-form and short-form clips spreading together through YouTube’s recommendations are keeping the rise going. How the channel’s regional episodes ran is set out in the story on the season 2 Gyeongju episode, and the per-episode view counts in the story on the August episode’s views.
