YoYoRESCENE's pre-release song, out on 29 February 2024, four weeks before the group debuted with the single album Re:Scene.
‘YoYo’ was released at noon KST on 29 February 2024 as RESCENE’s pre-release song, ahead of the group’s debut on 26 March. It is the first track of the debut single album Re:Scene. The album introduction describes it as a dreamy, surreal pop dance song that invites in everyone drawn to RESCENE’s floral scent at the border of dream and reality, and Financial News reported it in the same words.
The lyrics are by 서정아, The Muze and Val Del Prete, and the music by 서지은, Val Del Prete and Moon Kim; 서지은 arranged it. Members Minami and May sang background vocals.
Writing Idology’s 10 best rookies of 2024, Binunmul (비눈물) said the song “used an anti-drop to stir the rhythm freely up and down, and laid the team’s foundation with a dreamlike sensibility and a sound that appeals to the senses”. The same piece wrote that RESCENE took the Proust effect as their starting point and made scent the group’s own identity — “not a simple concept, but something dissolved through the audio, the visuals and the choreography, giving the listener a synaesthetic experience”.
Park Seung-min, writing IZM’s best Korean singles of 2024, set the song’s place in one sentence: “if the first two singles ‘Uhuh’ and ‘Yoyo’ served to draw the rough blueprint, ‘Love attack’ drove a wedge into the positive current that came before.” So Seung-geun, at the same outlet, chose this song for IZM’s 2024 editors’ choice.
The music video went up on the group’s channel on release day. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 25 March, the day before the debut, that it had passed 5 million views. A performance version followed on the same channel on 5 May.

RESCENE have set one main scent on seven records, from the floral of the March 2024 debut single Re:Scene to the grapefruit of 'Pretty Girl' in July 2026, with ambergris, soap, grass, berry and incense between. The concept began with CEO Lee Ju-heon's keyword 'scent', producer Kim Hye-su told IZM.
