RESCENE's Firsts and Milestones, 2024–2026

Twelve dated entries, from a song released before the group debuted to a coffee chain's first brand model — in the order they happened, with a source each.

Published Updated 6 min readReviewed by TD Kim

RESCENE — 리센느 — are a five-member group under THE MUZE Entertainment: Woni (원이), Minami (미나미), Liv (리브), May (메이) and Zena (제나). They debuted in March 2024.

This page is a record of the firsts and milestones that have a date attached, from February 2024 to August 2026, in the order they happened. It is a chronology, not a countdown. The numbering is the calendar’s: nothing here is ranked, no entry is presented as bigger than another and the last item is simply the most recent one. Each entry gives one dated fact and names the outlet that reported it.

One term is worth having before the list, because Korean coverage of this act uses it constantly: 역주행 (yeokjuhaeng), a “reverse run” — a song climbing the charts long after its release, without a new promotion cycle behind it. Financial News reported that Melon Datalab named RESCENE the representative artist of the first half of 2026 on exactly that basis.

A song released before the group had debuted

RESCENE’s first release arrived four weeks before the group did. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 24 February 2024 that the song “YoYo” would be put out on 29 February 2024, ahead of a debut set for March. That makes it a 선공개곡 (seongonggaegok, pre-release song) — a track issued before the record it belongs to, as an introduction rather than as the album’s promoted single.

The debut single album, Re:Scene

The group debuted on 26 March 2024 with the single album Re:Scene. The Power News, publishing the track list on 13 March 2024, described it as a two-track single album whose 타이틀곡 — the title track, the song a release is promoted with — is ‘UhUh’. THE MUZE Entertainment’s own page presents RESCENE as a five-member group and lists Woni, Minami, Liv, May and Zena.

The fandom gets a name: REMINE

In July 2024, on a livestream marking 100 days from debut, the group told viewers that their audience had a name: REMINE (리마인). Sports Kyunghyang, reporting on 11 July 2024, explained it as RESCENE joined to MINE, drawn from the word REMIND. A fandom name is the collective name an act gives the people who follow it. The group’s own account posted the name the same day.

A first mini album promoted with two title tracks

SCENEDROME, released on 27 August 2024, is RESCENE’s first mini album — a mini album (미니앨범) is Korea’s standard mid-length release, longer than a single and shorter than a full album. Behind Press reported that this one carries four tracks and was promoted with two title tracks at once, “LOVE ATTACK” and ‘Pinball’, rather than with a single lead song.

The first official event in Japan, at Tokyo Tower

On 7 December 2024 RESCENE performed at RED° TOKYO TOWER’s 5F SKY STUDIUM in Tokyo. OTOTOY described the show as the group’s first official Japanese event — 初の日本公式イベント — and a nine-song set. AFPBB News reported that they were the first K-pop idol group to hold a performance at Tokyo Tower, and treated the evening as their official Japanese debut.

A first-week count of 104,406 copies

The third mini album lip bomb sold 104,406 copies in the week from 25 November to 1 December 2025. The count is the Hanteo Chart’s — the sales tally Korean coverage uses for a record’s first week — and Sports Kyunghyang, which reported the figure, also defines the term it belongs to: 초동 (chodong) is album sales counted over one week from the release day. The months around that release are covered in our piece on them.

An award at the start of 2026

On the morning of 6 January 2026 RESCENE received the 2026 대한민국 퍼스트브랜드 대상 — the Korea First Brand Awards — in the 여자아이돌 라이징스타 (female idol rising star) category. Hankyung reported the ceremony from the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. It sits in this chronology as a dated milestone; no source read for this page calls it the group’s first award.

The first digital single, ‘Runaway’

Runaway” was released at 6 p.m. on 8 April 2026 and is RESCENE’s first digital single, Donga Ilbo reported on 25 March 2026. A 디지털 싱글 (digital single) is a release issued for streaming and download only, with no physical album pressed alongside it, which is why it can be a first two years after a debut.

‘LOVE ATTACK’ reaches number one on Melon’s TOP100

On 9 July 2026 ‘LOVE ATTACK’, the title track of the August 2024 mini album SCENEDROME, reached number one on the TOP100 chart of Melon, a Korean music streaming service — about two years after the song came out. Munhwa Ilbo reported it that morning and Money Today carried the same result. Neither gives an hour-stamped chart snapshot, so the date is all this page states. The fuller account is in how the song got there.

The first music-show win

Star News reported on 15 July 2026 that RESCENE had taken their first 음악방송 1위 (eumakbangsong 1-wi, a music-show win — first place in the weekly chart segment of a Korean television music programme) on SBS Life’s The Show, broadcast the previous day. The report notes it came two years after debut. How each programme calculates that placing is not covered on this page.

The first win on a terrestrial music show, taken off-camera

On 25 July 2026 the group placed first again, on MBC’s Show! Music Core, with ‘Pretty Girl’ — their first win on a 지상파 (jisangpa) programme, meaning one of Korea’s national free-to-air broadcasters as opposed to a cable channel. Top Star News reported that the win came without the group appearing on that broadcast. That win and the one before it are covered in our piece on them.

A coffee chain’s first brand model since 1998

On 18 August 2026 Hollys, a Korean coffee chain, named RESCENE the first brand advertising model in the company’s history. Herald Business reported the announcement that day, noting that Hollys began in 1998 as Korea’s first espresso specialty café and that the advertisement was to run from the end of the month. The first in this entry belongs to the company, not to a chart.

RESCENE have set one main scent on seven records, from the floral of the March 2024 debut single Re:Scene to the grapefruit of 'Pretty Girl' in July 2026, with ambergris, soap, grass, berry and incense between. The concept began with CEO Lee Ju-heon's keyword 'scent', producer Kim Hye-su told IZM.
