Who is Jin?

Jin is the oldest member of BTS, and the official site gives his birthday as 4 December 1992.

The Korea Herald, in its piece on the group’s first 13 years, recorded that he was the first of the members to enlist, in December 2022. His service ran 18 months, and he left the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon at about 9 a.m. on 12 June 2024, the first of the seven to complete it. The same outlet reported that he had served as an assistant drill instructor at a recruit training centre.
