RESCENE’s Minami’s cover of Jung Kook’s ‘Still With You’ was published on the it’s Live YouTube channel on 1 July 2026. Two days later, on 3 July, Jung Kook posted a link to the video on his Instagram story with the short word “yaho”, Sports Kyunghyang and Top Star News reported the same day. On 11 July, on MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View, Minami looked back on that morning herself. What follows is the background to the cover, Jung Kook’s share and Minami’s own account, in the order the three outlets reported them.

1 July: ‘Yeoboseyo?’ episode 5 on it’s Live

According to Top Star News, Minami’s cover video was published on 1 July 2026 through the it’s Live YouTube channel. The video went up as episode 5 of the channel’s ‘Yeoboseyo?’ series, with Jung Kook credited in its title as the original singer; ‘Still With You’ is a Jung Kook solo song. it’s Live is a third-party channel rather than an official channel of RESCENE or its agency, so this article does not embed the video and only links to the video on the it’s Live channel. The same outlet reported that Minami had earlier written on a paid fan-messaging platform, about covering the song, “I hope this video reaches my senior” and that it was “the song I have wanted to cover, ever since I was a trainee, once I debuted”. On the it’s Live channel the video showed 1,046,023 YouTube views on 2 September 2026.

3 July: the link on Jung Kook’s story

On 3 July 2026 Jung Kook posted a link to the it’s Live video featuring Minami on his Instagram story, with the short word “yaho”. Sports Kyunghyang and Top Star News both reported it that day, and both noted that the post carried a thumbs-up emoji alongside the link. Sports Kyunghyang reported that the video showed Minami singing Jung Kook’s solo song ‘Still With You’. According to Top Star News, Minami told fans on the paid fan-messaging platform, “I heard that Jung Kook sunbae-nim put me on his Instagram story.” Sports Kyunghyang also reported that earlier, at BTS’s ARIRANG world tour concert at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on 13 June, V, Jin and Jung Kook had imitated Minami’s ‘yaho’ on stage.

11 July: that morning, as told on ‘Omniscient Interfering View’

GP Korea reported on 9 July 2026 that MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View, airing on 11 July at 11.10 p.m., would show RESCENE’s daily life for the first time. According to Money Today, RESCENE spoke on the programme about their recent rise, and Woni and Minami named the ‘yaho’ meme as the moment they felt it. Woni said, “Just seeing our name on the music charts feels unreal.” Minami said she had been a member of ARMY, BTS’s fandom, for 11 years, and Sports Kyunghyang had also written in its 3 July report that Minami had said before her debut that she had been an ARMY for about 11 years. Of the morning Jung Kook’s story went up, Minami said, “I saw it in the morning and said ‘this is crazy’. My mum messaged me to go and look, quickly.” Woni had reacted on 3 July too: Top Star News reported that she said, “I woke up and Jung Kook sunbae-nim had posted Minami,” and that she was “so happy”. The 11 July broadcast was RESCENE’s first appearance on the programme. The group returned for episode 410 on 8 August, which iMBC Entertainment reported was the programme’s first-ever episode given to RESCENE as its sole guest; episode 410 is covered in a separate article.
