Jisoo is a member of BLACKPINK, which debuted in August 2016, and her solo work is handled by BLISSOO, the label she announced in February 2024. Jisoo (지수) is a member of BLACKPINK, the four-piece group that debuted on 8 August 2016 with the single album SQUARE ONE. Xports News reported that she became a YG Entertainment trainee through an audition in July 2011, singing a ballad by Lee Eun-mi. According to the same report, she appeared in an Epik High music video and a KBS drama before her debut, and in 2021 she was named a global ambassador for Dior’s fashion and beauty lines.
In February 2024 Jisoo announced BLISSOO, the label that handles her solo work. Newsis reported at the time that the members’ contracts with YG Entertainment cover group activity, and that each member’s solo work is handled by her own company. The same report explained the name as a blend of “bliss” and the “Soo” of Jisoo. BLISSOO’s site introduces her as a singer and an actor.
Her first solo release was the single album ME on 31 March 2023, with two tracks, ‘FLOWER’ and ‘All Eyes On Me’. YG Entertainment said the title carried her confidence as a solo artist.
Her first solo mini album, AMORTAGE, was released on 14 February 2025 with four songs in Korean and English, led by ‘earthquake’. Billboard noted that she had signed a global deal with Warner Records ahead of the release, and NME wrote that she is credited as a lyricist on all four songs. Munhwa Ilbo reported that the album reached number one on iTunes Top Albums charts in 45 regions, and the Korea Economic Daily that ‘earthquake’ topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. A month later, on 14 March, she opened her first solo tour, LIGHTS, LOVE, ACTION!, in Manila.
On 10 October 2025 came ‘EYES CLOSED’, a single with the British singer ZAYN. Munhwa Ilbo reported that it took her onto the Billboard Hot 100, and its music video was nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
In the Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand, her first lead role, Jisoo plays a webtoon producer. Korea JoongAng Daily reported that in the week to 15 March 2026 the show recorded 4.8 million views, ranked first in 47 countries and topped Netflix’s weekly non-English series chart.
‘CLICK’, released at 1 p.m. KST on 4 September 2026, is the pre-release single that opens her first full-length solo album.
