BLACKPINK's 10 Years: 100 Million Subscribers, 1.77 Million First-Week Sales, 33 Shows
Sports Kyunghyang reported that BLACKPINK marked its 10th debut anniversary on 8 August 2026, with BORN PINK at number one on the Billboard 200 and the UK albums chart, DEADLINE past 1.77 million copies in a week and 42.6 billion YouTube views. YouTube said it passed 100 million subscribers.
Korea JoongAng Daily reported that BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment with the album SQUARE ONE. Sports Kyunghyang reported on 8 August 2026 that the group marked 10 years since debut that day. Those 10 years are recorded in chart positions, sales figures, certifications and numbers the platforms published themselves. This feature sorts them into four strands — YouTube, albums and charts, the scale of the live shows, and where the four members stand now.
The debut and the decade
Sports Kyunghyang wrote that BLACKPINK arrived in August 2016 with ‘휘파람’.
The early songs carried into certifications. Sports Kyunghyang reported that ‘마지막처럼’ received a silver certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), the UK record industry body that certifies sales and streaming, bringing BLACKPINK’s total to 11 BPI singles certifications.
The decade that followed can be read through four sets of figures: the subscriber and view counts the platform published, album sales and chart positions, tour dates and audience numbers, and the third EP the four members released together in February 2026.
100 million YouTube subscribers
The YouTube Official Blog stated on 20 February 2026 that BLACKPINK had reached 100 million subscribers on YouTube. YouTube said the group’s channel was the first Official Artist Channel on the platform — the verified channel type YouTube assigns to a musical act — to reach the milestone. YouTube said it presented BLACKPINK with a custom Red Diamond Creator Award to mark it.
- YouTube said BLACKPINK’s official channel holds nine entries in YouTube’s 1 Billion Views Club.
- YouTube said BLACKPINK had earned 3.3 billion views across YouTube over the previous 12 months, led by Korea with more than 277 million views, India with more than 223 million and Indonesia with more than 218 million.
- Sports Kyunghyang reported that the official channel passed 100 million subscribers in February 2026 and that cumulative views had gone beyond 42.6 billion.
Albums and charts
Sports Kyunghyang reported that the second full-length album BORN PINK took number one on the US Billboard 200 and on the UK Official Albums Chart. The Korea Herald also reported that the 2022 album BORN PINK topped the Billboard 200 and reached number one on the British Official Albums Top 100.
The Korea Herald reported that in February 2026 the group returned with its third EP, DEADLINE — released in Korea as a mini album — its first group project in more than three years, and that it debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200. Sports Kyunghyang reported that DEADLINE passed 1.77 million copies within a week of release.
The sales record stands in the figures the outlets published.
- Sports Kyunghyang reported that the first full-length album THE ALBUM became a million seller.
- Sports Kyunghyang reported that BORN PINK went double million seller and then triple million seller as of March 2026.
- Sports Kyunghyang reported that 11 songs released by the group have entered the US Billboard Hot 100.
Sports Kyunghyang reported that ‘JUMP’ reached number one on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts and received a diamond single certification from the French record industry body SNEP. YG Entertainment said the digital single ‘JUMP’ topped the Billboard Global 200, the group’s third number-one on that chart. Sports Kyunghyang reported that BLACKPINK’s cumulative Spotify streams stand above 17.6 billion.
The scale of the live shows
Sports Kyunghyang reported that BLACKPINK’s first world tour drew a total of 470,000 people and that the second world tour, BORN PINK, gathered about 1.8 million.
YG Entertainment said the DEADLINE world tour ran 33 shows across 16 cities. Sports Kyunghyang reported the same scale. YG said the album shares its title with the world tour, which began in July 2025 at Goyang Sports Complex. YG said the group played three nights at the Tokyo Dome from 16 to 18 January 2026 and closed the tour at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 January 2026.
Sports Kyunghyang reported that BLACKPINK sold out both nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and performed at Wembley Stadium in the UK. The same outlet reported that the group appeared as a sub-headliner at Coachella in 2019, then took the main stage as headliner in 2023, and was also billed as a headliner at BST Hyde Park in London.
Where the four members stand now
Korea JoongAng Daily reported that the four members’ contract with the agency concluded in 2023 and that none of the members renewed it. The same outlet reported that Jennie founded her own agency, OA Entertainment; Rosé signed with The Black Label; Lisa founded her own agency, Lloud; and Jisoo founded her own agency, Blissoo.
YG Entertainment announced on 15 January 2026 that BLACKPINK would return as a full group for the first time in three years, with the third mini album DEADLINE set for release on 27 February at 2 p.m. KST. In the same notice, YG described itself as the agency overseeing BLACKPINK’s group activities. The Korea Herald reported that BLACKPINK debuted under YG Entertainment in 2016.
YG Entertainment said: “We sincerely thank Blink for being with BLACKPINK for the 10 years since debut.”
