Who is Pharita?

Pharita (파리타) is a member of BABYMONSTER (베이비몬스터), the seven-member girl group under YG Entertainment. The agency’s official profile gives her birthday as 26 August 2005 and the group’s debut date as 1 April 2024. She and Chiquita are the two members from Thailand.

The road to debut

YG Entertainment posted ‘BABYMONSTER - Introducing PHARITA’ on its official blog on 13 February 2023. Star News, reporting on the film the same day, described Pharita as being from Thailand and wrote that she had passed the YG trainee audition against odds of 1,226 to one. The same report described her as a trainee who had both performance and vocal ability.

In the film Pharita said: “I came all the way here from Thailand, 3,600km away, carrying the dream of becoming a YG artist. That is how precious and urgent my dream is to me. I want to debut and stand on a stage.”

The seven revealed in those films were not the seven who debuted. YG Entertainment ran the final selection as a video series called ‘Last Evaluation’ and posted the debut member announcement film on its official blog at midnight on 12 May 2023. According to The Fact, Yang Hyun-suk called Pharita fifth, after Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita and Haram, and the film gave as her reason her ability together with a command of Thai, her first language, plus English and Korean.

Debut and after

The first record all seven made together is the first mini album BABYMONS7ER, released on 1 April 2024. Star News, reporting the round-table interview held that day, quoted Pharita on having watched the music video for the title track ‘SHEESH’ with the members for the first time the day before: “I was so excited, and I was happy that the seven of us were finally debuting. We had practised hard all that time, and I think the music video came out just as well. I want to become a global artist who inspires people.”

That summer the group played its first fan-meeting tour, twelve shows across seven Asian cities. OSEN, reporting the behind-the-scenes film of the Bangkok show that YG Entertainment posted on its official blog on 30 August 2024, wrote that Pharita and Chiquita stood in front of their families and friends for the first time in their home country. The same report said the members spoke with local fans in Thai they had studied between schedules, and performed ‘SHEESH’ as a special stage at an open fan signing.

Solo stages

At the last of the three Seoul shows of the second world tour, ‘CHOOM’, at Jamsil Arena on 28 June 2026, Pharita took a solo stage with ‘Super Bass’. SPOTV News reported that six members each took a solo stage that night, and quoted Pharita: “I’m happy because it feels like we can give better stages.”

What to watch

Pharita appears on every record from the debut digital single ‘BATTER UP’ to the third mini album 춤 (CHOOM), and the first the seven made together is BABYMONS7ER. The records and the official channel are gathered on the BABYMONSTER hub, and the two nights at Kyocera Dome Osaka in September 2026 close the Japanese leg of this tour.
