BIGBANG's Goyang finale: what the three said on stage about 20 years
BIGBANG closed the Goyang leg of their 20th-anniversary world tour 'XX : COSMOS' on 23 August 2026 at Goyang Stadium. G-Dragon described the 20 years as the culmination of all their history, and the new song 'BiiiG' had its first live stage; the tour runs to 33 shows in 19 cities.
BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary world tour filled three nights in Goyang and reached its final one. Herald Muse reported that the third day of ‘BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR < XX : COSMOS > IN GOYANG with Coupang Play’ was held at 7pm on 23 August 2026 at Goyang Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Asia Today reported that BIGBANG — G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung — held the last Goyang show of the tour at the same stadium that day. This article follows the words the three used on stage to sum up 20 years.
7pm on 23 August: the third night in Goyang
According to Asia Today, the run began on 21 August and continued for three days, and the 23 August stage closed the Goyang dates. The three-day run sold out early and extra seats were opened, the outlet reported.
- Asia Today reported that the area around the stadium was full of Bangbong (뱅봉), the yellow crown-shaped light stick fans carry at BIGBANG shows, well before the doors opened.
- Members of the fandom V.I.P travelled to Goyang from Japan, China, the United States, Europe and elsewhere.
- Fans gathered around the venue early despite heat above 30 degrees.
The show opened with ‘FANTASTIC BABY’. ‘HANDS UP’ and ‘TONIGHT’ followed, and a live band filled out the stage, Asia Today wrote.
Three solo stages in the middle of the show
Asia Today reported that the three solo stages came one after another in the middle of the show, and listed the songs as follows.
- Daesung: ‘Universe’ and ‘WINGS’, then ‘한도초과’ and ‘날 봐, 귀순’.
- Taeyang: ‘BAD’, ‘LIVE FAST DIE SLOW’ and ‘RINGA LINGA’.
- G-Dragon: ‘POWER’, ‘CRAYON’ and ‘CROOKED’.
Alongside these solo stages, the three performed their best-known songs and the new track ‘BiiiG’ across the three nights.
‘We started in 2006 and here we are in 2026’
The 20 years were spoken about directly on stage that night.
According to Asia Today, G-Dragon said: “We started in 2006 and here we are in 2026. I think this is the culmination of all our history.” Herald Muse reported that G-Dragon said: “It is the ‘culmination’ of all our 20 years of history. I thought so too.”
Taeyang said, “For the 20th anniversary, I’m so glad we can meet again with a new look and a new stage,” Asia Today reported. The same outlet wrote that Daesung looked back on the time that had passed, saying, “I’m performing again after eight years and eight months.”
Herald Muse noted that BIGBANG debuted in 2006 and marked 20 years in 2026.
The first live ‘BiiiG’, and what comes next
The new song ‘BiiiG’ came later in the show. Asia Today reported that the song’s live stage was unveiled for the first time at these Goyang concerts. The encore included ‘붉은 노을’ and ‘마지막 인사’, the same outlet wrote.
The talk on stage continued around that song. Herald Muse reported that Taeyang said it would be “too (much of a shame)” to end with a single song, ‘BiiiG’, and that G-Dragon said: “As you know, when I do something, I do it right away. It’s (all) in my head, you know?”
Starting from Goyang, BIGBANG continue a world tour of 33 shows across 19 cities worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia. Herald Muse reported that further cities are to be announced in stages.
On 24 August, the day after the Goyang shows ended, BIGBANG’s official YouTube channel posted a dance practice video for ‘BiiiG’ — the official video of the choreography for the song first performed live in Goyang.
