Career

G-Dragon records under Galaxy Corporation, with the independent label EMPIRE distributing his releases. His single POWER, released on 31 October 2024, was his first solo release in more than seven years — his previous record was the mini album Kwon Ji Yong in June 2017.

Three weeks later, on 22 November 2024, he released HOME SWEET HOME featuring Taeyang and Daesung. It was the three musicians’ first joint track since BIGBANG’s Still Life in April 2022, and they performed it together at the 2024 MAMA Awards that month.

Both songs went on his third studio album, Übermensch, released on 25 February 2025 — his first full-length album in about eleven and a half years, after Coup d’Etat. The eight-track record takes its name from Friedrich Nietzsche’s idea of the ideal human.

In August 2026 he returned with Taeyang and Daesung as BIGBANG for the group’s 20th anniversary single BiiiG.
